A quick question if anyone can answer i'd appreciate it
I'm editing a saved game of mine using Lachi's editor, I open up the weekly save and edit rider limits an editing potentials etc. and then export it, overwriting the original then I save it, but in game it doesn't show, or i'm not sure if it's ment to. With the potential, should there be more stars? At the moment there isnt so I am thinking Ive made a mistake.

The potential value influences how fast a rider will develop, the potential stars show how much a rider's stats still can grow.
Well, I edited the limit coloumns, Like coloumn_Hills_Limit (Thats not it exactly, but similar) from example 67 to 74 for a number of riders. So does that mean there should be more potential stars in that stat for one of the riders in-game? Because the rider eg. had 60 sprint, limit of 64, so he had 2 stars in the potential coloumn in game, I edit it to 68, he should now have 3-4 stars and he doesn't.
I'm currently doing a study on this, my first impression from looking through some of the game coding is that potential actually does not affect progression. A rider with 8 potential should progress just as fast as a rider with 1 potential. The difference is the maximum values for a rider with 8 potential are higher.
So I set 2 riders with the same stats (60s) and same potential max (85s), same trainer, same training. One of them has a 1 potential, the other an 8. Will update after a season runs.
But I edited the Maximum limit for each rider I edited by about 4-5, so ingame 1-2 more stars should show up on the training/development page when I view a rider? And I opened the editor and everything was the same way it was before I edited it, but I saved and exported the database, overwriting the previous weekly save?
Eden95:
You don't have to edit the files in the weeklysave folder. These are backups only. The save is in my documents\pcm11\users\yourname\database\solo\name of db\
But if the changes did not save, then your problem lies somewhere else. But maybe I am just misreading your post.

Ok, thats interesting.
And also, I was refused entry into a continental race, what do I need to edit to get into the race? The race is the Giro del Trentino.
