Leaders
David De la Fuente
David will be one of our main riders for the GC. He is a great climber/puncher with a great fighting spirit. Watch out for David!
Marcos Garcia
Marcos is another one of our main riders for the GC. He is also a great climber and only being 25 years old, he has a lot of room for improvement.
Julian Sanchez Pimienta
Julian is a puncher that will shine in the one day hilly classics. H is not so much a GC contender for mini-tours but he will do well in the classics.
Sprinters
Aitor Galdos
Aitor is a quick sprinter but doubles as a puncher. Expect to see him win sprint finishes and hill-top finishes. Aitor is a great asset to the team.
Manuel Cardoso
Manuel is another great sprinter that is O.K in the hills. He is not as strong as Galdos in the hills but is a little bit faster on the flat. Another great asset to the team.
Note; fitness is low because the season is yet to start

Well as luck has it, the race organizers of the Santos Tour Down Under have refused our bid for a wildcard. So there goes one of main sponsor objectives

This is Caja Rural's first race of the year.
Favourites: Marcel Kittel , Andrea Guardini , Aitor Galdos
The first attack of the day came from Steve Cozza (NetApp)
Who was closely followed by McEvoy (Endura) and Gomez
(Caja Rural)
But there was lots of activity from other riders in the peleton!
Finally a group of 8 formed.
Steve Cozza took the mountain points for the day!
The 1st intermediate sprint also went to Cozza. 2nd was Halla and 3rd went to Sancho!
Halfway there and the break has over 5 minutes!
The second intermediate sprint went to McEvoy! second was Cozza and third Komori!
With 50K to go the break has 3:16 on the peleton!
With 20K to go the break only had 57 seconds.
The break was clawed in a few K's later after a few more attacks within that group!
The Caja Rural train was ready but Kittel and Guardini are well placed!
The final sprint is launched it is extremely fast but...
Kittel wins quite comfortably!

Caja Rural's second race of the year. We were hoping to get Galdos up for a podium today.
The first attack of the day came from Ruiz (Andalucia) who was followed by Houle (SpiderTech) and Bravo (Caja Rural
But there were more attacks to come!
Finally, a group formed! It contained riders from such teams : Andalucia , SpiderTech , Caja Rural , Katusha , Landbouwkredit and NetApp.
The first intermediate sprint was one by Konig of NetApp. Second was Houle(SpiderTech) and Third was Bravo (Caja Rural)
There was a big fight for the fist set of mountain points on offer. But, it went Ruiz's way!
Konig took the second lot of mountain points on offer while Bravo got 3rd.
Amorison took the second intermediate sprint!
50 Kilometres to go!
The breakaway still has nearly 5 minutes!
20 Kilometres to go!
The breakaway's lead has been cut back to only 2 minutes!
10 Kilometres to go!
The breakaway only has 1 minute when all of a sudden....
Marcel Kittel attacks in yellow! But the Caja Rural boys are told to stay put as he will probably be caught.
2.7 Kilometres to go!
Everyone has been waiting for eachother to make the first move when..
Vorganov attacks! Intxausti , Piedra and Marcel Kittel counter!
Vorganov is riding very strongly. So are Intxausti and Pieda. Too strongly infact for Marcel Kittel who drops back to the peleton.
Vorganov wins!
Inxausti holds for second and Pieda for Caja Rural takes third!
