Difference World Tour - Pro Tour - ...

Tour de France Champion Posts: 21379 Joined: 01-05-2012 PCM$: 400.00	I've only been following cycling intensly since the start of this season. And when I'm looking through some of cycling's history, I come across some words a lot which seem to mean almost the same. So I'm asking the people who can make sense of it, please: What's the difference between World Tour, Pro Tour, UCI Ranking.....?

Team Leader Posts: 6195 Joined: 02-07-2009 PCM$: 200.00	Word Tour = Pro Tour = crap (this last bit is mine ) The UCI Ranking is just that, the World Tour Ranking, unless you mean the ranking they use to decide which teams meet the sporting criteria to be WT, in that case, it's a mixed ranking for all .1 or higher races.
