I tried searching, but I didn't really know what to search for.
One of my riders is stuck in the lineup for the Giro. I altered some of his training data in the database, and since then, I can't unregister him for the Giro. That is, I don't have a say in whether or not he is selected. I select my 9 riders as normal, but when I go to the quick simulation screen, I can't see any riders, but on detailed sim & 3D, 10 riders show up.
When the 3D race is loaded, I can't select my 10th 'stuck' rider. It's as if he is on another team, so it's not like I can just make him abandon.
I compared the database to an old weekly save, and on the 'Cyclist' list, everything is in order, and he is not registered for any race. On the list which shows you who is registered in which race, I removed all the Giro riders.
So when I save the db and go back into the rider profile, 'Currently' says 'Stage Races', and not Giro d'Italia.
I don't have access to the game at the moment, but can anybody suggest anything? I could just revert to a weekly save backup, but I would lose some victories in doing so.
Open your save game with an editor. Find the ID of the rider in DYN_cyclist, then open DYN_team_race. Sort by race ID, Giro is 135 as far as I remember, find your team ID and in the column with the rider IDs, remove the rider you do not want in the Giro.
The database editor now won't load, and I'm certain the db is the problem. I saved an alt version of it and simulated into the future. The db sorted itself out.
I abandoned everyone in the Giro, and this abandoned my stuck rider too, so when the Giro is finished, the DB Editor should work again. I hope.
The editor which came with the game does not work with the daily-DB.
Also you cannot do such changes as mentioned by CrueTrue.
