editing stats in a career

I'm in the middle of playing a Sky career and have reached the giro with Froome as the leader. When I started the career I just increased his mo, hil, tt and prl stats due to his performance at the vuelta last year. Now I want to change his other stats (sta, ftr, etc.) to be in line with the 2012 database. I've accessed the saved file on PCm Fast Editor (Career_1-2011-5-9) and I also tried it with 2011-5-2. In the game I'm on 2011-5-10. When I edit the stats they don't change in game. HelpSad

you need to save to edited save game over the file in 'solo'

Or in other words:
You did edit the backup not the save.
The save is in this folder: my documents\pcm2011\users\your name\database\solo\name of db\
