Hello, I am Romain Sicard and I ride for the Spanish team Euskatel Euskadi.
s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/sicardstats.jpg

The main rider in the team is Samuel Sanchez the Basque stage racer. This year I will be trying to help him the best I can. My objectives for the season are to go to the Tour de France and to finish well in the race and help my leader as well. I would also like to increase my reputation. This month I will be participating in both races we are doing.
s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/januarycalender.jpg

I will be hoping to get a top 10 at the tour of Australia. The GP de Marseille I am the leader and I will be hoping to win through a breakaway or I will do some lead out duties for our sprinter. My first race of the season is coming up but first the whole team is going on a training camp. I think we are getting the new kits on the training camp. I’m really excited that we finally get the new bikes tomorrow.

My contract was ending at the end of the year but I must be a good rider because Euskatel has already signed me up for the 2 years. I am so happy I get to stay with the team. I have just found out that Koldo Fernandez and Egoi Martinez both signed contracts as well.

Stage 1
Right from the word go Minguez was in the breakaway.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/miguezattack.jpg

112.3km to go Burtolini attacked and Minguez followed.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/attack.png

100km to go a group of 10 were away by 1:15 to the peloton.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/breakaway.png

With 36km to go I attacked following Matt Haymen and Bernard Eisel.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/sicardattack.png

With 7km to go we had a nice lead out train for Fernandez.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/train.jpg

Unfortunately Furrar and Pettachi were too strong and Fernandez settled for 3rd.

Overall

I finished 3:25 behind with Teammate Minguez. Minguez came away with the overall mountains and second in points. We are also winning the Teams Classification.

The manager said he would give me a schedule for the season before my next race which is the GP de Marseille.

Stage 2
Mostly flat, another stage for the sprinters.

After about 30km of racing a break of 9 formed at the front 3:11 in front of the peloton being controlled by Garmin.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/breakaway1.png

With 13km to go the break had broken into 2 groups. At the back a group of 7 riders and the front a group of 2 with Minguez in it.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/breakaway2.png

We had a leadout train set up for Fernandez as well in case we catch the breakaway.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/sprint5.png

With 8km to go the break only had 28 seconds but I am not sure if we will catch the break because anything could happen. The break was caught and we started our leadout duties.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/sprint4.png

Fernandez started his sprint but it looked like he would get 3rd again.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/sprint3.png

Stage

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/stage2.png

Overall

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/overall2.png

I had a better stage today staying in the peloton and coming 26th in the stage. Minguez retained mountains and the team had a good race.

You need the direct link, so after jakstar22/ just put the name of the photo - in this example AmericaSponsorobjectives and then add on the file type - .jpg

Hope that helps. Smile

I think that the problem is the fact that that the picture is an private album , when we copy the URL and we search for it , we can't find it .. Try putting it in another album and try again Wink

Tell me if I't works Smile

It does matter, sicardstats is fine but SicardStats is wrong, because file with this name does not exist Wink

Okey , good you fixed it ! And Jakstar , I think you should better preview all your posts before you post them and if you see that it's not working , dont post it and ask it to someone of the forum , because your story is full of comments about the picture Wink

& A tip , edit the first post and start the story there , don't just reply Wink

this is just testing to see if i know how to get the images on so excuse this message. thanks.

That's not how to do it , you put it like this : URL[img][/img] , it has to be :

Make sure that the first and the last lettre of the url is right next to ] and [ that's important ! Wink

Good luck with the story ! Wink

Stage 3
Today’s stage is a hilly one and maybe the team could come away with a victory after the stage.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/profile.jpg

I think I might be able to get a win but I will be working mostly for my leader Nieve.

A break of 6 riders got away after about 40km of racing and they had a gap of 1:59 on the peloton.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/breakaway-1.png

The breakaway then became a group of 9 riders.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/breakaway2-1.png

The scenery was absolutely awesome. We went past an old farmer’s house. It was absolutely massive.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/scenery.png

With 30km to go the breakaway had 3:27 on the peloton. I had attacked on the first hill and got a 40 second gap on the peloton.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/sicard.png

Then with 19km to go Nieve attacked and started his bid for the stage win.

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/nieve.png

With 7km to go the breakaway looked like it would stay away so Minguez started to try and get away from the rest of the group.

At the finish it was Albasini who won the sprint ahead of Nieve and Sagan. I don’t know where Furrar came in so I hope it was in one of the back groups.

Stage

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/stage3.png

General

s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u504/jakstar22/general3.png

I had a great race coming in 34th in the lead group. Nieve was so close but came in second to Albasini in the sprint.
