Boonen is already the best Flandrien ever, so I would like him to win another one Grin
My bet for being Boonen's biggest rival: Pozzato

Weird that Sagan isn't riding, probably taking some rest of for the Ardennes?

Honstely, the only way is see Boonen lose this is him having a mechanical, or Pozzato doing an amazing sprint.

Btw, i'd also put Boom on the favorite list, he had a mechanical last week in the Ronde.

Sagan could ride podium in Roubaix, i also think it's weird.
My joker is Degenkolb he was strong in flanders, and a hilly cobbled race isn't really his thing so i think Roubaix suits him more.

What's she doing in Spain?

It's looking like the weather may be dry after all, unfortunately. I'm still yet to see a wet P-R (2009 doesn't really count with a few drops) Sad

Can't wait until Sunday! I think Boonen's got the green light to win this year...

Spot on Grin
De Vleaminck even said the first time in his life that Boonen has the PERMISSION to share his record.
Yeah we can't blame him for being not so sympathic, I would also be frustrated when in my career i was aways second best and therefore almost got no attention in the media.

Having looked at the startlist, there can only be one answer as to who will be the winner...

Blot.

(and Talabardon a close second)

Boonen is of course the big favorit, but it's still Paris-Roubaix everything is still open

I think Pozzato could have cracked Boonen in the Ronde, but without the hills, I can't see it happening. Unless he has a badly timed mechanical, Boonen has this wrapped up.

I think Boonen will win it. Regardless I put $5 on both Ballan and Pozzato at 14:1 odds. So if either wins I get $70. I love that Australian bookkeepers have no idea about this sport.

Finally, the best thing of Easter ,apart from chocolate rabbits, is here Pfft

As the others i cant see anyone than Boonen winning, with Pozzato,Ballan,Boom,Breschel and Vanmarcke being outside bets for me.

No, they won't make the same mistake twice of not riding after the breakaway, especially because Cancellara isn't participating.

I'd fancy Geraint Thomas as an outside shot, but it seems that in an olympic year he'd rather ride on the track. Pfft

Instead Goss is my outside shot. He can do Cobbles and is pretty quick, in a race that will be slightly more controlled without Cancellara.

haven't you seen him in RVV? He was the first big name who couldn't follow the bunch. It's indeed not RVV but still he's form isn't very good i think.

That's what it's been looking like to me as well. After last year's super season, I think he has a little bit of the Gilbert-syndrome now. Or he's targeting the Tour.
