Hey PCMDaily!
Here's the situation. I starteted a career with Christina Watches - Onfone and the date is now the first of july. The sponsor contract with Christina Watches is expiring and my scout haven't found a new sponsor yet, which makes it impossible to contact riders. I'm leading the continental with Schumacher and also as a team. I'm also currently the best continental team in the superprestige.
What does it take for me to get a pro licence for the next season? Is it a top3 in continental?
What determines the budget for the next season?
Going pro with an expiring sponsor, and having no chance of getting new riders seems quite ridiculess. I'm willing to edit in the DB - cheat if you will - as long as I edit some sort of realistic sponsor/budget. How would you go about doing this?
Thank you. |

I still get the "you can't contact a rider without a sponsor"-message, even though I added one year to the contract in DYN_sponsor. It also doesn't update the budget for the next season. How come? |

You probably also have to update the columns in value_i_sponsor_future in DYN_team. |

Yeah, I suspected that. Here's the thing.. I'm riding with Christina Watches - Onfone, and Onfone is currently giving me about 250k a year (until 2013).. and in 'value_i_sponsor_future2' (which I guess is Onfone) it says 700k.. that can't be right? What do I write in 'value_i_sponsor_future' then?
I did notice that 'value_i_sponsor_future' (Christina Watches) said zero..
EDIT: It's even worse.. it's 7 million.. so it's probably not an amount? Can't possible get 7 million in 2013, hehe.

No one said it's an amount of money
Try to copy it from one of the teams that do have sponsors for the following years. |

Lol.. probably also would've ruined the game for me
Copy/pasting another value into that column solved some things. The "sponsor search with an agent"-tab dissapeard and I'm now able to talk to riders.. though sponsor revenues for the next season still isn't updated. It only counts Onfones budget.

Prolonging the contract and/or raising the budget is only easy when the contract is not ending in that year.
Example if the contract runs until 2013:
1. To prolong the contract just adjust the year in DYN_sponsor
2. To raise next years budget, just add the needed amount (in Kilo EUR) to value_i_sponsor_future
If the contract is expiring, then the easiest way would be to just search for another sponsor. Normally you would get a better budget also.
In case you want to stay with Christina-Watches, just wait until the end of the season and then change the sponsor name back to Christina-Watches.
Another approach could be to set the sponsor contract length in the DB, then start a new career, simulate one day, close the game, open the dummy career with an editor and copy the value from value_i_sponsor_future to your real career. Of course you would need to fix the contract end in DYN_sponsor also. |
