Maddy

I hope this doesn't turn out too controversial, but I'd like to know what you think about Maddy's case?

I personally think they shouldn't leave the country now, right after evidence was presented that the mother was somehow involved. Shit, this is getting macabre by the minute.

CrueTrue
From the very first moment I saw the case, I thought the parents had something to do with it. I know it's know entirely certain what has happened, but I'm not doubting for one second that her parents were involved in the disappeareance. Their motif?

By the way: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabricat...ed_Illness

Sounds familiar?

It's a really sad case, but I really can't see any other possibility

You know what... I also thought that way when I saw it on the TV. I was discussing it with my girlfriend saying "they did it". My girlfriend called me a monster and everytime it was on the news and I mentioned she was trying to make me feel guilty about it. I just shut up then.

This kind of thing has already happened in Portugal, a portuguese mother killed her own daughter, slaughtered, cut her to pieces and sent her to some place (she didn't confessed, but some say she give her remains to domestic pigs).

But I honestly hope I AM a monster, and all this is a misunderstanding.

The portuguese police us saying that Maddy DNA was found in a car rented by her parents after she "disapeared".

the parents' reaction was not normal. they did everything to alienate the police from the word "go".

they put themselves out there into as much media exposure as possible...and as soon as they realised they were suspects, they refused to speak to the press and said "they never wanted that much exposure and felt their privacy had been violated". something was not right.

I won't go into the more well known details of the case, but it was clear a lot was not right from the start. especially the "little" details.

here's an example of one of those details:

their version is that they put the seven kids (theirs and the other families' ) to sleep in a few minutes and went to dinner.
this may seem plausible to foreigners, but I can tell you that's a big no-no. at that time of day, at that time of the year over here it's still light and pretty damn hot.

you'll be lucky if you can get one child to sleep. seven? no way.

small details such as these have been off the whole time.

i think there is definatley something the parents aren't saying, whether they killed her or not, they are holding something back

her mother has been offered a shorter sentence should she admit to accidently killing Madeline but that isn't going to happen.

there is no way on earth she will be found alive, in my eyes, but i definatley think the parents have done something, i mean who leaves their very young child on their own in a foreign country, in an apartment while you go outFrown

that's just stupid, they either forgot they took her to Portugal or they don't care about her one little bit, what's wrong with taking her with them, getting someone to look after her, or staying inFrown

that's when i started to find it strange

Th evidence most certainly points in the parents direction - Maddy's blood was found in their car which was rented after her disappearance!!!

I think it was just stupid that they left their kids on their own but why would they want to kill/kidnap their own kid?!

I think the British people are generall starting to warm up to the fact that maddy was probally murdered by her parents.

it certainly is very extreme i know, but they obviously didn't like her that much to leave her on her own, when she is so young

maybe she was too much for them, maybe they killed her, too many maybe's everyone knows that it isn't certain her parents killed her, but there are a lot of things that don't add up at the moment

I don't think they murdered her. I hope not. What I think is they may have committed manslaughter, hid the evidence, but then the media frenzy is inexplicable Frown

as i said a lot of things don't add up,

i too hope they didn't murder her, but maybe manslaughter as you say and then they got scared and tried to hide all the evidence and claim she's gone missing, because they thought that way they wouldn't go to jail.

obviously these are all maybe's but something weird has definatley happened

that's the whole idea. accidental. and then they tried to cover it up.

that's the idea of what probably happened. nothing is proven so far, of course.

Try to read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabricat...ed_Illness

Dan_Grr
Fabricated or Induced Illness (FII), originally and more commonly known as Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy (MSbP), involves a caregiver whom feigns or induces an illness in another person, usually to gain power and control over the victim as well as attention or sympathy from others. The caregiver is usually a parent, guardian, or spouse, and the other person is usually a vulnerable child or adult. Although cases with feigned or induced physical illness receive the most attention, it is also possible for a perpetrator who emotionally abuses a victim to simulate and fabricate conditions that appear to be psychiatric and/or genetic problems.

[...]

One study showed that in over 90% of cases of Munchausen by proxy, it is the mother who is the abuser.[4] In other cases, the MSbP abuser is another female caregiver. Fathers have been the perpetrators in a handful of professional reports. The female preponderance may be attributed to the typical socialization pattern which encourages females to seek the sympathy and assistance of others while males who do so are considered to be "weak". It is not known whether this predilection to seek sympathy also has a gender-based genetic component. Neuropsychological testing of perpetrators has shown either normal results or nonspecific abnormalities.

Anyway the mystery item is Kate's diary. If she admits to killing her daughter in the diary, she should tippex it out and write something else.

I sure as hell can't see any side of it right now. I'm up to the tip of my hair with this. it's everywhere. it's annoying.

wish it would just go away, never to be heard of again...
