Stage two is massively downhill, and the favourites are same as stage 1, Davis, Bazajev and Sinner, with again Serrano D2's outside shot.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat040.jpg

Shapira, Hirschlein and Cheung are the break for today.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat041.jpg

halfway down the hill Ascani punctures, although he soon makes it back.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat042.jpg

Shapira just beats Cheung to the first mountain points.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat043.jpg

Shapira just pips Hirschlein to this climb, and now a third place on the final climb of the day will give him the mountains jersey.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat044.jpg

Shapira is fires up today and he takes the sprint from Hirschlein.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat045.jpg

Cheung wins the second sprint though, as Shapira can only manage third.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat046.jpg

Cheung has found his legs as he wins the final climb, however Shapira's third place means that he has claimed the mountains jersey for team D2.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat047.jpg

And Cheung wins the third sprint by miles. Shapira takes second this time. With 18km to go, the breaks lead is down to 1'18"
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat048.jpg

10km to go and the race is all together, even if the peloton is very spread out.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat049.jpg

7km to go and this is just 1 long line, Pirelli are working very hard.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat050.jpg

And we have a split, Carrara, Eltink, Raisin and Nazaret (again, I doubt he cares now) all miss out.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat051.jpg

Vespa are trying to close the gap.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat052.jpg

Again it's Pirelli vs Cal Giant, and again Davis is just waiting on Bazajev's wheel.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat053.jpg

Bazajev goes early, while Davis swaps to follow Sinner, clearly he doesn't want to commit to early.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat054.jpg

1km to go and Sinner and Davis make their move.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat055.jpg

And Davis cruises to victory ahead of Bazajev.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat056.jpg

Sinner is third from Matthews and Gavazzi.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat057.jpg

Pirelli drop four riders between the two groups. trying to take advantage of the 20 second rule. Lets see if it works.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat059.jpg

Nope

So a gap of 1'38" meaning the group of potential winners is down to 35. Lund hangs in the front group to keep the White jersey tomorrow as well.

D2 Watch: Laverde Jiminez stays in the front group to move up to 27th overall, but the real victory is a day in polkadots for Shapira.
