Just finished my first season with PCM11, and started to wonder why the old riders stats don't get worse (a custon team with fenian addon DB), not finding my answers on the forum. I have compared all the best athletes from jan 2011 to jan 2012, and not one of the older ones have gotten weaker. Not even the very old riders, like Jens Voigt (my only rider above 30), cuesta, horner etc seems to have lost any stats at all... In PCM most riders stats were deteriorating quite rapidly after reaching 30, and although that was maybe a bit overkill, It seems a bit weird that basically none are experiencing any change?
How do you find which riders retire after each season? Really liked the function in PCM06 where it was announced at the end of each season who would retire of the "bigger" names.
Also feel that the "morale" in PCM11 is causing too little trouble, every single of my riders had "over the moon" at the end of the season, is that really normal? In PCM06, some of the leaders started with unhappy or depressed, just because I also had other "absolute leaders" on the team, and it was impossible to please all, at least during the rider status update of each season...
Actually I feel many of the things in PCM06 was better, especially the camera angle, since only the bird perspectives are functional in PCM11 to get a decent overview, unless I want to customise at the start of every stage... Of course PCM11 also has it strengths, just wounder why they didn't manage to improve it more in five years, and also had some set-backs...
1. In the PCM.daily DB, no riders have a decline in stats during the first season (or, at least not those who are contracted to teams). So they can complete the entire first season before their stats decline.
2. Those messages still appear in PCM11, but for some reason tend not to show up very often in the PCM.daily DBs. I have a feeling it's due to the amount of riders or something like that, but I don't know for sure.
3. True. It was a lot more difficult to "annoy" the riders in PCM07/PCM06. I'd say it was too difficult back then, too easy to keep them happy now.
4. One of the main strengths of PCM is in my opinion the fully moveable 3D camera. I don't really see any reason why anyone would use the pre-set settings, but each to their own

Greetings CrueTrue,
I saw this thread earlier and was therefore surprised to see the following: ''Tom Boonen states that he is going to end his career this year at 33 years old'', so yes, they do indeedly pop up.
BTW, ''fully moveable 3D camera'', can you actually zoom in/out then? You can move it around with scroller, ok, but..
I cannot remember correctly because I just do it automatically, but try to use ALT and your mouse, or ALT and the wheel to zoom in and out. If that does not work, try CTRL.
Thanks a lot for clarifying answers CrueTrue, and supplementing answers from the rest of you!
I'll definitively give customization of the camera another chance, and see if its possible without loosing the overview and "quickness" of close bird's eye view:-)
