I decided to have some fun and play the Vuelta al Tachira stage race in single player mode with the Chilean Lider Presto team, but had the worst possible start.
A big crash at the finish took out half the peleton, forcing my sprinter to abandon, my leader to lose time and my co-leader to be injured.
In PCM06 that oughta be a run in the Vuelta something Peru. Its bit of a story:
First mountain stage: Had Alex Diniz attack on the first mountain, only to fall through and lose 10 minutes to the favorites. Then i had NicÃcao with which i almost managed to complete the stage together with the favorites. That is, until he fell flat on his face and lost 5 minutes in a crash.
The story continues though.
In between: Both Diniz and NicÃcao lost another 2 minutes to the leader.
Stage 6 i think: Diniz goes onto an epic solo journey over 80 kms and a not fun mountain in between. The pack does nothing at allm and he gains 14 minutes but only finishses 2nd, because i wasnt the only with the epic journey idea. Thats not the point though.
Stage 7 i think: Another guy pulls a "Diniz" and scores 17 minutes on me because i didnt react to it. He then takes my leaders jersey BY TWO SECONDS! Not a worry though.
That stage that is completely just downhill: Diniz takes two bonus seconds and the jersey. He holds it until the end.
Im not sure it was my worst start ever, but it was totally my wierdest triumph ever.
