Well congrats dear developers of Pro Cycling Manager. I am a cycling fan since i was 9 and i have never been so dissapointed after playing this game.
I think what u have published is really a insolence.
Do you have any beta testers at all? I would feel ashamed as a publisher and as a programmer to develop and release a game so full of obvious bugs. This game is so fuXXed that your own community needs to make it constantly better.
FE the bugs i really hate. In your database it's called and misspelled Tour d'Hlvetie. Your variant descr. call it Tour d'Hèlvetie. This results that u always play the tour de suisse of 2007. The tour descr. itself dont match so in 2008 i needed to fix your vuelta descr. You also had this in giro 2008 and its a shame that u needed to fix it with a patch. bugs like these don't belong in releases.
Why doesn't this game have the most obvious features that all other games of this genre have? Why can't i create my own biker and my own team? why dont you have database editor built in the game? Why don't you have tasks like its 1974 your the opponent of eddie merckx and you only have 6 days to turn the tour de france, can you write cycling history new?
Why are you so lazy in developing that u still use the same stage variations which you had in the 2006 game? I would expect at least from you to develop a few new tours and stages and to include the stages of the previous releases like all 2006 stages.
Why are parameters that are really important (trainer specialisation) hidden in the database? Why is the managing part made so poorly? Why arent there different tires, crancks and gears i can choose? You have already licensed campagnolo and shimano. believe me they built much more than just wheels why isn't this included? and why, why isn't the most important part in races (especially time trial and mountain) included, meaning why can i choose my conversion my gear transition ratio?
And is it so hard to include a little more commands when you want to simulate a flat stage than rather playing it in 3d?
This game definetly has potential but i'm really getting tired of looking in the database and find it full of bugs.
and yeah i'm on patch 1.1.0 and not the latest. but still this game is a disgrace and nearly unplayable.
and yeah btw the internet can be used for other things than only patch updates. why isn't there a guy in your developing team who constantly updates startlists which the game downloads itself? i know your to cheap to pay for the license but you still have the cyclingid so if you just make startlists based on the id's you gave the racer everyone can still use it even though they changed the names to the original ones.
i can only hope that u make things better but i doubt it. as well as i doubt that anyone who participates in devoloping this game reads this. but honestly this game needs such a great workover that the whole forum and community should write a partition demanding to fix all this and add more depth to the game.
i completely agree and you should stay on the first patch because the second is much worse. I think what cyanide need to do is join up with another more established development company, IR Gurus in Australia for example. It does seem as though it wasn't properly tested. If you start a petition i'll be happy to sign.
