Following the failiure of my your rider team story, and with my interest for 1 rider stories im trying to combine the 2.
Basically, this will be 5 one rider stories from 1 team.
The team is Chevrolet-Telmex, an American backed team with new world interests.
It will be made up of 14-16 riders, split into to 7-8 man groups.
One group will be flat based, sprints with a bit of cobbles and TT
The other will be climbing based, hills and mountains, with a bit of TT
The first rider will be Sergej Fuchs, an under 23 german puncher.
The second is my custom rider, Jack wiles, an under 23 british stage race.
The other 3 spots are up for grabs.
How they are picked is going to be a bit different.
If u want a spac i need; a name, d.o.b, nationality/region, specialization, 3 favorite races (not all UWT), 3 goals (career/year), another rider for the team , and a background story.
The story is the key part. In 100 words or less, tell me your riders history and why he should be in the team. The 3 i like the best get in. I will pm you a pts limit, then you create the rider. The younger the rider the less point, but more potential.
Feel free to ask questions, you will have 1-2 weeks to apply before i decide.
Hope you like, sorry if that was long.

I have now got 3 careers into 2012, and 2 into 2013, so i just need the right motivation. THis will be a good one, requiring time to develope the riders, and it means i can keep race days down, and maximise the stages i dont sim.
Name: Peter Thomlinson
Nationality: GBR
D.O.B: 12/5/1980
Peter is a rare breed amongst british cyclists, he's an out and out climber, and a good one at that, trouble was, he was so determined to be the best, he was willing to do anything in order to get there, following an EPO scandal, he recieved a 2 year suspension from racing, which wore off at the end of last season, not many teams were willing to sign the ex-doper, but he is determined to make it for real this time, and show the others that he's back, and going to be one of the top names in all kinds of mountain terrain, before his career draws to a close.

Little after that he's going to lethargy. Hes wife send him to psychiater. After many hours of chatting, the result was to return to professional racing. But because the hydrophobia, he needed to search another sport for him. The two of the best options was the marathon running or the cycling, and finaly he choosed the cycling, sustained by he's best friend, Laszlo Bodrogi, former hungarian (now french) bronze medalist WCH timetrialist. Zoltan's main skills (because the mainly flat thriatlon cycling stages) its the flat, cobble and TT and he's mediocre in the sprint and hills too. And now, at the age of 28, he is a newbie

Russ Bennett
Nation: United States of America
DOB: 15/10/1988
A collegiate cyclist from Colorado, Russ has decided to forgo his senior year of college. He possesses a rare combo of climbing ability and speed. He was the national champion on the college level on the road and on the MB trails. He was barred from the Collegiate National Championships after fighting another cyclist after the Rocky Mountain Regional Championships, and decided to have a go as a pro after being sought after for Garmin's U23 squad as a teen.
Favorite races: Amgen Tour of California, Tour of Colorado, Liege-Bastogne-Liege
Side note: If you decide to have interviews with my rider, he is very blunt and not afraid to speak his mind about anything. Just thought you could use some swagger on the squad
David Worthington
Nation: United Kingdom
DOB: 16/01/1986
The first promising United Kingdom rider born in England. He was born in Northern England and lived in a small village near Preston with cobbled streets. He cycled alone meaning he was good at TTs Cobblestones and also enjoyed to sprint. Sadly he broke his leg after a top five place in the U23 Britain TT race. He took a year out of cycling to recover but now wants to start as a pro. He had received interest from team Halfords but pictured himself as better than that.

My father's story chasing me all the time. He won La vuelta in 1987, twice KOM in Il Giro and one time KOM in Le Tour. Also Outstanding performances in Dauphine. So, i want to make my own story. I have enough stamina and resistance as a hills cyclist and a good performance in downhill, i'm aggresive and very combative. Compared to my father, I'm faster in TT but, i know, he was a superclass rider in Mountain, so, I'm not as strong as he, but i have the potential and the genetic

Name: Christopher Brown
Nationality: USA
Date of Birth: 7/18/1993
Christopher has been riding a bike since the age of 5. He has won the U23 road race championship each of the past three years. He has been to many developement camps over the years and at each one the manager says he is the best they have ever seen. Last year he went to U23 men world road Championships and placed 8th. This made him the youngest person to place in the top 10. The past 2 seasons he has been on the Trek Livestrong U23 team. He won multiple races including the Tour of the Battenkill, Redland Cycling Classic, and even placed on the podium of the Tour of Utah. Lance Armstrong even said he could win multiple grand tour races. The only downside is he has been under a doping investigation over the past 6 months, but they haven't found any conclusive evedince.

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.
Name: Peter Neilly
Nationality: UK
Date of Birth: 09/10/1992
Pete has been riding as a semi-pro for several years now, and now, having been scouted by Chevrolet-Telmex team he is getting his try out in the big leagues. For him, growing up, he has been spurred on by the success of other British riders in the world of cycling, and feels that in time, he can add his name to the pantheon of the great British cyclists. Admitting his inexperience at this point, his main goal is to soak up all the advice he can get and you can bet that he'll give 110% of all he has for the team.
Specialisation: Climber
3 favourite races: Tour of Britain, Tour of Ireland and Tour of Normandy.
3 goals: At least one victory this season, to compete in the Tour of France, and to one day win the Tour of Britain.
Suggested other rider: Peter Thomlinson.
I'm sure that I could learn a lot from his extensive wealth of knowledge, particularly as a climber, that would really help to boost my career.
This is a great idea, hope it works out well for you
Half-term, exams over, so this will get going soon. I'm gonna wait for the 2012 DB, which is out soon.
I have picked the 3 riders to follow, and will PM them over the next few days.
