Im in June in my second season and I have been thinking bout new signings for the upcoming season. I'm not sure what to focus on so I thought I'd might get a few suggestions here. I am 2nd of the CT teams in teh CQ ranking, but I doubt I'll be promoted. Therefor I'll definately be looking for a promotion next year.
Some info:
- The rider with the hidden name is a created stage races with a potential to reach about the same level as Contador.
- I will not be prolonging Van Goolens contract since he is a bit old now.
- I have three leaders; my created rider, Guardini and Navarro.
- Both Vegard Gran and Andre Eriksen are "Future Greats".
My finacial situation is as follows:
2012:
Riders: 91,650
Staff: 32,900
Sponsor: 125,083
2013:
Riders: 84,250
Staff: 32,900
Sponsor: 183,750
In what ways do you think I should improve my team?

Think about a cobbles rider (75 or something), to be found in one of the many smaller Belgian teams (Landbouwkrediet, Verandas Willems etc.). So you can gain points in these (1.1) races). Further, it's a pretty nice mix, with a lot of youngsters. So it's up to you if you wanna invet in a star rider, of wait for 1-2 more years to let more of your riders develop.

Well, it gonna be a long time before these riders ever amount to anything Therefor I am thinking about trying to signing some average riders as helpers, the age isnt all that important. I have a limit at 28, though.
The reason I don't have any riders who are good at cobbles is because I'm not very good at cobbled races |

A really decent time trial-ist would be good as you only really have one at the moment
And as dienblad suggested, a rider who has good cobbles stats would definantly be a great addition too |

I did actually check what my two "future greats" would be good at and appearently Vegard Gran will have 84 in TT while Andre Eriksen willl have 81 in MO.
I didn't mean to check, I would have preferred it to be a surprise, but I was looking at some other things and accidentaly saw their stats. |

How can you check 'future greats' |

My suggestions for this team would be either a cobbles specialist, though if you say this isn't what you hope to sign, then possibly a couple of very good flat+TT riders, who will be able to wokr very hard for the team, setting up sprints, chasing relays etc, Voigt style super domestiqués would be my call

A decent cobbler and some more TTT helpers. (I would suggest TT-72+)

Same as the others, you need someone who can do well in cobbled races, a few more TT'ers, and maybe a couple of young established riders, such as Rasmus Guldhammer.

As I've mentioned earlier, I do not do well in cobbled races at all. Stage races however are my specialty and I have no trouble getting a good result there. Just for fun I had a career going a couple of PCMs ago where I had nothing but climbers on my team. I think the worst rider had 75 in MO or something. |

Well, I've managed to make a decent signing for the next season... he's pretty good at climbing and has some "okey" TT-skills.
Spoiler It's Roman Kreuziger
Second signing is also a decent sprinter among other things.
And someone to back me up in the mountains
I think it's almost banana-time.
