Stage editor crashes

Hiya, i have a problem, whenever i try to do any work in the stage editor, it always crashes, especially if i try adding water, and sometimes just randomly, any ideas why?

The stage editor is an unstable program that does crash a lot. You'll have to live with some random crashes.

But try to avoid clicking while something is loading or a city is rebuilding, because clicking there will result in a crash every time.
