ok then:
astana pro cycling team-season 2016

THE LEADERS
antonio gentizon:

in august 2010 antonio joined the team as a tranee. no one knew that in 2015 he will win TDU+2 stages, milano-san remo, amstel gold race, the swiss road race championship, finish 2nd in the year rankings and 3rd in le flech wallonne. he will be our leader for the hilly classics.
roman kreuziger:

joined astana in 2012 and had a waek season. none the less in 2013 he came back and did the giro-vuelta dubel. in 2014 he came 4th in the tour and took the vuelta yet again. in 2015 he at last took the top step of the tour de france. but this year he is going to be a team-mate in the giro and the vuelta aswell as leading in samller races.
janez brajkovic:

2 times vuelta champion+ 1 time giro champion. like kreuziger he is going to be a team-mate this year but he will get is chances.
mark cavendish:

worlds best sprinter. he is joining us after a weak season in team saxo-bank. he will aim for the green jersey at the tour and stage wins in other big races.
maximino legarda:

the best climber in the world. he turned pro with euskaltel in 2013 and in 2014 he already took 2nd in the road race world championship. in 2015 he came in 2nd at the tour. this year he will aim for the giro vuelta duble.
the rest:

THE SPONSORS AND GOALS

we have some good sponsors this year, not much more to say.
goals:
finish as leading sprinter: tour de france
win:giro ditalia
win:vuelta e espana
finish in the top 3:milano-san remo
finish in the top 10: paris-roubaix
finish in the top 10:liege-bastogne-liege
most goals are easy enugh to achive, but we might have trubels in paris-roubaix.

today is a flat stage so we will try to win with cavendish and get gentizon safe to the line. in general we want gentizon to win the GC.

the day started with a 17 men breakaway that got out right from the start. no big name there.

there was no battle for the KOM points, so do the breakaway riders try to keep energy?

15 kilometers from the line theres a crash! koldo frenendez and christopher sutton are involved, and sutton drops the race!!!

but non of our riders crashed so we were able to get our train in a good place with cavendish wating.

and cav takes the stage with Govorukhin in 2nd and maciano in 4th!
a great start of the season for us.

cav in his leader jersey. |

You should turn up the difficulty because you have this strong team. But that was a great victory for Cavendish!

With a team this strong you will reach 100 victories this season, why not turn the difficulty level up a notch like fcancellara suggested |

@fcancellara and sutty68: yea i think you are right, next stage will be harder.
@jt1109: didnt know that, thank you. and i had a scout in kazakhstan for a year and a half but all he found was no hopers...
i need to go to school so next stage will come after that. |

a hilly stage this time. last year gentizon won the stage and took the lead until the end of the race, so we aim the same again.

the day starts with a 10-men break group. our own neo-pro jacinto fernendez is in it. in the sprint its Sylvain Chavanel that cross the line first.

in the KOM sprint Preben Van Hecke is first, but juan jose cobo acebo is attacking the pack, making it reach the front group.

right after that a new group is formed with a rider chasing them alone. jacinto wasnt strong enught so we dont have a rider there.

8 kilometers from the finish line gentizon make hes move, and it looks to be a good one.

with 5 kilometers to go, he reach and ditch the front group he is going to win the stage!!!
(game crashed so i have no more pictures but he won with over a minute and cavendish wasnt even close to the front).

stage 3:

again a flat stage, cavendish will try to win and gentizon will try to get to the finish line safely.

the day starts with a 24 men break group. they get a 3 minutes lead. we have our german champ tony martin there.

in the final climb of the day, tony makes hes move and gets a 30 seconeds lead.

sadly he is cought with 5 kilometers to go, and now cav is our chance to win.

our riders were very tired so only gentizon could lead out cavendish, this isnt looking good for us!

and indeed we cant win today. instead it was Aldo Ino Ilesic that won in front of Emanuele Vona. cav had no legs and gentizon was our top man in 7th and he keeps hes lead. |
