Before the Ctour leaves Belgium behind we take in a short 4 stage tour which gives Bpost and its talented cobbled squad one last chance to break their cobbled duck.
The opening stage of the De Panne Tour is the toughest though the lengthy second stage does involve one short sharp steep cobbled climb. The final 9km TT could well still decide things if the early stages haven't been decisive.
The three winners of the cobbled classics:
Damien Gaudin Tom Veelers and Lars Boom are here.
As is last years champion Thor Hushovd as well as a stage winner here last year Adam Blythe
Pokerstars, Trilux and Tinkoff make up the cobbled numbers once more. Whilst Proximus have allowed Mark Cavendish out to play!

Judging from E3, this should be another great one for Boom. The first stage is quite hilly, giving Boom a good chance to hold on to the best cobblers. Then he should blow them all apart in the final TT. But it will certainly be an interesting first stage, looking forward to the reports

Boom has to be favourite here. If I don't win the first stage of this then I will be immensely pissed off.

Hushovd started the season good, why not go on with that? |

I can only hope for few lower TOP10 places overall, Kluge could ride for himself (with good support of others) at least once per season...

Hope you are right. Also hope that riders like Hushovd won`t get too many bonus seconds and Vantomme is taking care for the big points.
Top5 and a stage win would already be great. But I wouldn`t say no to more.
Except of Boom and Vantomme it`s close to nothing in my squad. So I hope they are able to do some work in the peloton. Surely no sprint train in this race.

Alright that rescues an otherwise dismall cobbled season for my team. I didn't think that it would go that way but with both BPost and Pokerstars in the break it was always going to be hard to find teams willing to drag the break back in.
Now I just have to hope that Albert can stay on his bike and I should be alright to take the win.

Congrats to CountArach and Bpost. Well deserved after the bad luck in the earlier cobbled races. Albert should have this one wrapped up even with a crash I think.

Congrats to Albert on winning the race, can't see any way /apart from injury) that makes him loose this. Specially when you consider that he got the best team to help him aswell...

Nice win for Bpost.
I already knew in the first picture that this will be a totally fail for the other teams. ;(
Without a strong cobbled team it was impossible to catch these riders.
Now I have to hope for a 3rd with Boom and a stage win by Vantomme. |

Wellwell, hoping for some good stage results then.
With Lindgren-->Aistrup-->Westling-->Chicchi-->Hushovd we may have a chance to do great in 2nd and 3rd stage.
And Lindgren doing well on the TT. |

Great race, BPost winning is no surprise but Coyot in 2nd is. Without a crash he should easily take 2nd in the GC.

Once again this season, things havent gone Blythe's way. At least Tennant is well placed for a strong GC position after the TT

This sucks a lot. Small cobbled section makes it a totally strange stage. At least the 4th is still possible...
Hope for a real sprint stage tomorrow and a good timetrial by Boom. Otherwise this race was horrible for me. |

Nice win by Nolf there. I'm very happy to have Van Loocke on the podium.
