Game won't start

Whenever I try to start the game, a message pops up and tells me there is a problem.
And I get this wall of text:

Did the game run before or never?
Did you install the patch already?
Does your computer comply with the minimum system requirements?
Did you install anything else, for example a DB?
How do you start the game, through the launcher or directly by double-clicking pcm.exe?
Did an older version of pcm run on your computer (pcm2010 or pcm2009)?
Did you search for the error in this forum or with google?
What does the first sentence mean in english?
Did you search or google for JIT (Just in time)? |

To quickly answer your questions
1. it did run before, it plays smoothly on high settings
2. patch 1.0.4.4
3. pcmdaily database
4. launcher (It started when i tried the .exe) |

If the game starts by double-clicking the EXE, then you have your solution.
You can make a shortcut to PCM.exe on the desktop or just go to the folder and double click it whenever you want to play. |

These are the instructions how to reset the settings of Pro Cycling Manager 2011:
A. My documents (try this first)
1. Click Windows Start button and click My Documents or Documents.
2. Rename the folder called Pro Cycling Manager 2011.
3. Run Pro Cycling Manager 2011.
(The game will automatically create a new folder when you start the game.)
If the game runs, you can try to restore the settings (career).
Restore your career:
Copy the career saves, which can be found in this folder:
My documents\(renamed folder)\users\your name\database\solo\name of DB\
Also you might have to restore the file called local.cdb, which came with the pcm daily database.
B. Roaming folder (ONLY try this if the game still does not run)
1. Open Computer then Local Disk (C .
2. Open Users folder.
3. Open your username folder.
4. Open AppData folder (*)
5. Open Roaming folder.
6. Delete Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder.
7. Run Pro Cycling Manager 2011.
(*) Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default.
Here is how to make it visible:
Open the Folder Options by clicking the Start button and click Control Panel.
On the Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization and click Folder Options.
On the Folder Options, click on the View tab.
Under the Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders and click Ok.
Hint 1: You can type %APPDATA% in the address bar of your explorer, then press enter to navigate to that folder.
Hint 2: Deleting this folder will reset your achievements. You might be able to back it up but I cannot tell you how. |

No, you would delete your career if you would delete the folder mentioned in A.2 instead of renaming it. |

I have tried both ways but after deleting the folder and trying to run game through launvher it starts loading little circle next to mouse then nothing happens.

When both folders are gone, then the game has to run.
If not, then you messed up your operating system.
You could try this:
- Uninstall the game
- Remove both folders
- Install the game again
- Run the game
If the game still does not run, then I cannot help you any further.

If you want to reinstall the game without losing an activation, you only have to click on "cancel" when you are asked to de-activate your key. That way your key will remains in your registry. After the installation, do not re-activate the game. |
