Theres neem 9 races since the last update, so that is long enough!

Individual

3rd in Corsica has not been enough for Valverde to keep his Rankings lead. He falls just belowe Jose Alarcon, the winner of that race. The new leader though is of course Jonathan Bellis. Totally dominant in Boland, and although 252 is only the 3rd highest rider score in this period (Alarcon 255 Corsica, Marzano 326 Langkawi) he came as close to maximising the amount possible to score in a 4 stage C1 race, as any other rider is likely to come in any other race.

Marzano's top score puts him 4th, while other race winners arew Flugel (6th), LL Sanchez (13), Costa (15), Veelers (67), Sambris (73) and Gaudin (80).

Teams

Rapha Condor continue to lead the way, and their 421 in the 4 day C1 Tour of Boland is a higher total than any team managed in the 10 day HC Tour de Langkawi - although Jayco Red Bull's 404 there did briefly see them lead the standings once again, and keeps them very much in touch with the British-African team.

With HC Stage Race victories under their belt, Volkswagen - Siemens and Aker Solutions - Bergans are also going strongly, with Bianchi and California Giant now also over the 1000 point barrier.

The biggest climbers since the Tour of South Africa are Pirelli (Up 6 to 11), UniCredit (9 to 14), Ferrari (9 to 15), Pokerstars (7 to 19) and Bpost (8 to 20). Team WWE havent scored since the last update so understandably drop 11 spots. They just remain ahead of Oz Cycling, who have fallen 10, while the worst drop is Cyclevox from 15th to 28th. Koppert remain last though, despite winning Dwars Door Vlaanderen.

Very nice to see an update on the rankings SN!

It has been a great season so far for us. We've scored very well in most races, but obviously, Alarcon has been instrumental for our team.

Though, we won't stand any chance at a top 5 at the end of the season, as I messed up our race planner quite bad in June + we're racing Tour of America, which should be bad in terms of points. But it should be some exciting racing, and that's more than good enough for me

Also, we've raised our points/race days through this period of racing, so far we've got 30.4 points for each race day, which I'm obviously very happy about.

3rd, I can live with that, afterall my goal is just top 10 (But I really want to promote). Then again, I got 3 riders in the individual top 10, and they have taken all the points pretty much (1130 of 1400). So I'm a leader team, and thats it :-p

If I remember correctly, my team haven't put in a single race day between this and the previous ranking. I might be wrong, as this is just out of my head.

Don't think Vespa have raced much since the last update, so I'm not too downhearted about slipping down the rankings.

I hope Pozzo can do something at Trentino, though knowing my luck he'll get a couple of -5 days for form.

I think I only partook in one race during this period though, so I can't complain too much. I also don't think I've had a single race outside the top 10 yet, though I could be having selective memory over this.

No doubt that this is roughly where we'll end the season.

Aker and Puma definitely showing that the ideal approach for new teams is the big-budget superstar. High risk, but when it pays off, it's definitely worth it.

Aha a rankings update - excited to see Jayco Red Bull are still near the top 'against the odds' despite suffering what I feel have been so-so results in the classics.

I am sure people will be frantically trying to work out race day averages, though I don't think that will alter much the real ranking positions. I know VolksWagen, Bianchi and Red Bull have had more race days but I'll take the points in the bag thank you very much.

Rapha have been so strong, lets rephrase Bellis has been very strong but he cannot race every race and will need a break at some point. Aker Solutions have surprised me in that they have been doing well in races where Alarcon has not been racing, cannot see that lasting forever, but I am beginning to see them being this years Bacardi.

I expect Vespa, Venchi, Pirelli, TCS Bank and Pokerstars to start making a move forwards soon.

Meanwhile an interesting little battle for the lanterne rouge of the CTour is developing between Meiji Fuji, Cyclevox, Rothaus, Koppert, Oz Cycling, and Focused. For me Oz Cycling and Meiji have picked up more points than I thought they would whereas barring the cobbled stuff Koppert have been really anonymous.

I wouldn't count Rothaus as fighting for the lanterne rouge, considering that Boom and Vantomme has only raced one race each, but if Koppert doesn't start getting more cobble points they could really be in trouble

Actually I am pretty happy to be in the first half of the new races team ranking. Who would had expected that many points from my team in races like Nokere-Koerse or Corsica International. Only Algarve could have been expected.

Boom just used 5 race days, Vantomme just 1 and also Hesjedal haven`t used many yet.
So I am really looking forward to my aimed races, which are mostly in the second season half. So when I continue to have some luck I think even a top 20 is still possible. I reduced the gap to the top although I just jumped 2 places in the ranking.

Meanwhile I expect the first 3 in the ranking to stay there until the end.

I refer you to Dowsett, 8th in Rankings, and Froome, 17th. Then theres Blythe, who is currently out of luck, Kennaugh who will have plenty of stage opportunities, and not forgetting Tennant - 2 ProTour stage victories to his name this season, and yet to ride a continental race.
