Myth about sprinter's stats (ACC vs SP)

I've been thinking...

If what is said in that stat guide is correct (and it probably is), then I guess it renders all ideas about deciding on the stats of sprinters useless, or at least upside down?

If the ACC stat determines how long the red bar lasts, it must determine for how long you can sprint effectively, right?

And with all the MO, FL, TT stats etc. determining the speed in certain circumstances, that should mean that the SP stat determines how fast you sprint, right?

Doesn't that mean that a high SP and low ACC will make you more of a Cavendish type, while a high ACC and low SP will turn you into a Hushovd?

It would mean that the old habit of giving Boonen 82SP, 77ACC and McEwen 81SP, 85ACC back in the days gave a totally wrong outcome?

Thoughts?

I hope that the DB makers at least test their stats if they hold up against real life.

So what I am trying to say is, looking at the stats of the PPDB you should understand how it has to be to get realistic outcome.
