Is there any interest in a PCM 2007 story with Francaise des Jeux?

I'll press on with the rest of the presentation then
GOALS
Overall we have one of the weakest teams in the Protour so my personal aim for this season is to avoid relegation... Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with this version so I'll have to get up to scratch with it quickly!
SIGNINGS
To help us with this goal we have signed two free agents at the start of the season to bolster the squad:
CONTRACTS
Johan Lindgren and Benoit Vaugrenard have quickly put pen to paper to extend their current contracts till 2010.
SCHEDULE
Our only scheduled race for Jaunuary is the Australian Championships and then we move onto the Tour of Langkwai at the start of Febraury. |

AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
My first race as FDJ team manager... We had both Bradley McGee and our new signing Jonathan Bridge here. Bradley is more experienced and felt in good early season shape so he was nominated to be the designated leader.
Bridge couldn't help himself getting in on the early attacks but when it looked like he had missed out on the decisive move we sent him back to help Bradley out.
With around 40km to go Stuart O'Grady and Matthew White of Discovery made a promising attack so Bradley decided it was time to play his cards and countered... they made their way up to and past the break but Mc Gee got caught out with positioning later on and they rode away.
Bradley went into TT mode to attempt to bring them back but it wasn't enough and O'Grady sprinted away to take the champion's jersey. We're happy with a promising third place here though.

JANUARY
Well we didn't have any racing in January but here are the monthly awards...
Sorry about any pink squares.. I'll reinstall the game when I have time and maybe that will fix them.
McEwen won the Tour Down Under and Aart Viehouten won the Tour of Qatar. Now we head into February, where the team will begin the racing season in the Tour of Langkwai |

Squad
L. Auger
M. Delage
L. Jégou
S. Joly
M. Ladagnous
J. Veikkanen
C. Detilloux
T. Marichal
We have a good all-round squad in Malaysia with Joly will as the leader, he will hope to place well on the two mountain stages.
Delage probably provides our best hope in the sprint and we plan to have Ladagnous and Jegou helping out on this front. Finally Auger provides a good rider for breakaways if we wish. Let's see how things turn out anyway. |

Stage 1
Dataran Lang - Underwater world Langkawi : 81km
Short, flat stage to start things. Our focus today is to set Delage up for the sprint.
We find out at the startline the major contenders for the GC. The biggest names are Dessel, Tschopp, Petrov, Perez Caupio who are all stronger than Joly.
We do our best to set Delage up but our train gets crowded out by the stronger riders. In the end Grillo takes the sprint for Panaria and Delage finishes down in 17th. Lets hope for better luck tommorow.

Stage 2
Kangar - Kulim : 164.4km
Much the same today, although we might let Auger stretch his legs in the break today.
Auger gets into the breakaway as expected.
But they can't build up a big lead and they are caught easily.
This time we decide to let Delage take another sprinter's wheel and he looks to be in a good position with 3km to go! But then disaster strikes as I tell him to take his final drink and he loses concentration and falls way back!
This time Julian Dean was comfortably the strongest and takes the leader's jersey. A measly 20th for Delage but I think we could have got an OK result today if it wasn't for that mistake.

Anyway, it's the first of the two mountain stages tommorow, so now it's Joly's time to shine. |
