I'm currently playing a Career with Team Sky & I'm in my first season, just over mid-way through March.
I'm starting to realise there are several races the team has been entered for & some riders racing days are already starting to mount up. A couple have already raced 20 days & a few others are in the mid-teens.
Obviously, some of the races the team is automatically entered for but I've noticed there are others that the team has been invited to & are due to take part in.
In order to reduce the number of racing days would you suggest withdrawing from some of the races the team has been invited to or is it best to leave things as they are & enter all the races that have been pre-planned for the team throughout the season?

I usually amke up my own calendar. When racing in the ProTour of course all PT races. And then fill up with some C1 races to build form and others I find fun, like Strade Bianchi, cobbled races, Italian classics late season.
I use my season planner tool to plan the season of each individual rider. This takes some time and knowledge. If you just want to get to know the game, then you can let the game decide the races for you.
I try to aim to reach 60-70 days with all my riders. I have 24 riders divided evenly into 3 "teams" with a designated leader. I therefor plan 3 individual seasons, one for each leader and his designated helpers.
I prefer to do it the old fashion way with pen and paper. It is time consuming, but this way I feel like I have more control. I always have a very neat way of organizing everything.
My first career, I left them and enede up with about 110 race days for everyone, obviously too high, but I had high sponsor confidence and and was promoted to the UCI Tour. (I had a custom team, so it was pro-continental) My second career I picked and chose UCI Tour races and HC races, and sine I didn't have the backround rwsults I never got wildcards, my sponsor dropped me at the end of the 1 year contract, and I went bankrupt. So overall I say, let it loose (but not to 110 race days, more like 80-85, even though only 60 is recomended) and that should keep your sponsor confidence so that you can win some 2.1 and HC races which, in case you cannot win the win the big races with competition.

baseballlover312: The sponsor will leave your team at a certain point no matter how high the sponsor confidence is. This is totally unrelated to race results.
Going bankrupt has only little to do do with season planning. If you need race income to prevent bankruptcy, then obviously you have to participate in races your riders can perform well.
But selecting the wrong races is not clever, no matter if you do it or if the game selects them for you.
