PCM Crash when accepting a failed sposor search?

In my third year of a career the game suddenly crashes after I started searching for new sponsors for the following year. When I click the accept button after being told that one of my sponsor searches failed, the game crashes instantly.

I have no expansions to the game, I'm only using a user modified database (Cycling Legends) that includes several more riders than the official release database, but I cannot see how that should make the game crash and it worked perfectly until I started searching for sponsors.

I may be able to avoid it happening if I load a saved game from before I started searching for sponsors, but then I would have to redo 2 months or more.

If anybody has some suggestions as to how I can fix this problem without loading old saves they would be very much appreciated.

I think the problem comes because you have installed the latest patch but play a career based on a DB which is not compatible with that patch.

Thank you very much for your help. Which editor can I open my save with? There are only cyclists, stage and db editors in my pcm folder, so I do not know how to change my save. Do I have to download a usermade editor in order to edit saves from career mode?

I doubt that the db is causing the problem because it has never crashed before and it is only in these troublesome sponsor searches that seem to trigger the crashes.

You need a usermade editor.

This mail crash should not happen if the DB is compatible with the patch, but it is only a guess from me.
