See topic title. Am I screwed if riders have no more stars next to the stat? I have a young rider with 7 potential and a good TT starting stat, so I figured he'd become good, but now he seems "stuck" at 74 with no more star attached.
Also, riders that don't have a limit assigned to a stat, but just 1 general potential stat in the editor, say 6 or 7, then as the career starts suddenly get a maximum value, although I have also seen that change. Young riders that have supposedly great potential (future great, promising) only have 1 or 2 stars in the area that they are supposed to be good in.
What can I do to influence this? Is it the training area that I assign to them?
Thanks a lot in advance!! BTW, my progress rate is 0.5
I think it's at little bit ad random. Sometimes you're lucky and a rider can progress very well, sometimes he doesn't. The only thing you can do is changing his stats with an editor, but that's a little bit cheating But even then, progress can be impossible when he has no stars.
Even if he is described as a Future Great, that doesn't mean he will turn into one. It might be that your scout misjudged his talent. I've had several young riders that have started with stats at 70, but they never progressed beyond 74.
The trend in PCM seems to be that scouted riders can be great in on area, but suck at everything else. I've seen young riders who can get 80+ in climbing, but a TT-stat at 60, or the oher way around. Same with sprinters; 82 in SP, but 57 in flat.
