Hey everyone. Normally I'd never have to ask for help or tactics. But in PCM 11 I'm really struggling with the following.
Normally, like in every PCM, I'm used to climbing at own pace/own effort (also known as 'the dot'.
This tactic is still very effective in PCM 11, wether you have a top climber or lesser one, they tend to do better than they would perform normally if you climb at own pace.
However, while I have no problems with using 'the dot' on steep climbs (like in the Giro or Angliru in Vuelta), I get problems on long, gradual percentage climbs. I can't pull back attacks by opponents with just riding pace like I'm used to on normal climbs.
And when I try to counter attacks I'm usually half spent and immediately have to let go to recover energy. Especially on a climb like the Galibier in the Tour I have huge problems to do well.
What kind of tactics do you guys use on a climb like the Galibier. And don't respond when you only play with Contador or A.Schleck because they are too good it doesn't matter what you do
I also use the dot, i always wait till around 8,9 km and then i go on 81 dot to the top, when they attack earlier, i press dot too but when i get with them, i just sit in their wheels and wait for my energy to restore and then go
