Hi guys,
After several computing problems, I'm back and I have new projects. Unfortunately I lost all of my PCM10 original stages. I may do again some of them, especially WC circuits. Here is the first one in Luxembourg.
WC Luxembourg : 257km
Spoiler
A hard circuit for puncheurs with a main difficulty, the Bürgerkreuz, and a uphill finish in "La Faïencerie".
But my first great project will be a Vuelta. The aim of the route is to end boring one summit races, so I propose a Vuelta without Angliru, Sierra Nevada, Covadonga, Navacerada and Andorra. Instead true succession of passes and some downhill finishes !
Vuelta a España
Prologue : Ceuta 7,2 km
Spoiler
A historical prologue in Ceuta, a spanish enclave in Africa. Seven kilometers with a hill around Monte Hacho.
Etape 01 : La Linea de la Concepcion - Benalmadena 146 km
Spoiler
km 99 : Puerto de Ojén - 2°
km 146: Benalmadena - 3°
First stage on Costa del Sol : a short and hilly one. The uphill finish is to the advantage of riders like "Purito" Rodriguez.

Etape 02 : Rincon de la Victoria - Roquetas de Mar 180 km
Spoiler
km 154 : Alto de Venta de Pampanico - 3°
The first stage for sprinters along the Costa del Sol |

Thanks.
Here is the next stage
Stage 03 : Almeria - Lorca 161 km
Second stage for sprinters, without difficulties. The race leaves Andalusia and arrives in Lorca where Tyler Farrar won in 2010. Since this stage, the city has been hurt by a massive earthquake.

Here is the fourth stage
Stage 04 : Alcantarilla - Murcia TTT 32.3 km
An other serious day for the quest of the red jersey. Today, it's a team timetrial. If its length is not big, the route is really tricky with many bends, roundabouts and a hill (1.4km at 6.7%) followed by a technical downhill.

New stage, the first in mountain around the Sierra Aitana
Stage 05 : Elche - Alcoy 160 km
km 62 : Port de la Carrasqueta - 1°
km 89 : Puerto de Tudons - 2°
km 111: Puerto de Torremanzanas - 2°
km 119: Puerto de Benifallim - 3°
km 135: Alto de Revolcat - 3°
km 146: Alto de San Antonio - 2°
The day after the TTT, pressure is still on with the first mountain stage. No high altitudes, but six passes. The Alto San Antonio, a short and steep ramp (14%) above Alcoy, should inspire the leaders. |

New stage, which means I've done one third of the job
Stage 06 : Ontinyent - Valencia 174 km
km 54 : Alto de Sumacarcer - 3°
km 71 : Alto de Quesa - 3°
km 77 : Alto de Bicorp - 3°
km 111: Alto de Dos Aguas - 2°
After two big days, riders will probably take a breather on the road to Valencia. The stage is hilly and the break away will take profit of it. However, the last 60 km are flat and the bunch could decide to come back for a sprint. |

Next stage. I made it fastly because of what's coming next
Stage 07 : Castellón de la Plana - Salou 178 km
The flatest stage of this Vuelta along Mediterranean sea. The riders arrive in Catalonia where the sprint seems inevitable. Next day, Pyrenees arrives : two hard days are remaining before the first rest day.

Stage 08 : Terrassa - Port Ainé 210 km
km 73 : Alto de Sant Just - 3°
km 85 : Alto de Castellar de la Ribera - 3°
km 166: Coll de Canto - 1°
km 210: Port Ainé - ESP
First stage in Pyrenées and first arrival in summit. Two big difficulties are programmed : the Coll de Canto and the Port Ainé, never used by the Vuelta. Leaders will probabli wait for the last climb but after nine days of racing differences could be bigger than expected.
A: Across Catalonia
B: Panta d'Oliana
C: Valley before Coll de Canto
D: Bottom of Coll de Canto
E: Summit of Coll de Canto
F: Port Ainé
Initially I planned to start from Sabadell but because tsmoha really honored the city in his Vuelta, I've changed my start. I took a lot of time to reproduce well the profile of the two climbs. I'm happy with the results, especially Port Ainé. if you want to compare : https://www.salite...rtAine.gif

Did you watch the World Champs today ? Did you find them boring because of the flat circuit ? Do you want to take revenge on Cavendish ? In his home country ? Or do you already wait for his olympic title in London ?
If you have answered yes to one of the previous question, you need to play the following circuit.
World Championships : Bristol - 252km
The circuit takes place around Bristol and its famous monument, the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Two hills are used : Rownham Hill (866m at 7.7%) and Durdham Hill (1.8km at 4%). The timetrial also uses them and explores the shore of the Bristol Channel. |

No problem, it's only a starting city. I have changed a lot of my plans since the first design, mainly to shorten the stages. Furthermore, I think our routes are complementary because the only cross is in Catalonia
I'm currently working on the next stage (queen stage of Pyrenees) and I met the three worst passes I never made. But the final profile looks perfect

New stage, the queen-stage of the Pyrenees.
Stage 09 : Sort - Bielsa 181 km
km 49 : Port de la Bonaigua - 1°
km 95 : Col del Portillon - 2°
km 120: Col de Peyresourde - 1°
km 138: Col d'Azet - 1°
km 166: Port de Bielsa - 1°
This is the queen stage of the Pyrenees with five passes. The route goes to the Bonaigua, crosses the border to France with the trio Portillon-Peyresourde-Azet and returns to Spain by the Port de Bielsa and its tunnel.
A: Climb of the Bonaigua
B: Col del Portillon
C: Summit of Col de Peyresourde
D: The Col d'Azet above Loudenvielle's Lake.
E: Summit of Col d'Azet
F: Summit of Port de Bielsa, just before the tunnel. |

I just finish the tenth stage. I've already done half of the Vuelta
Stage 10 : Huesca - Pamplona 188 km
km 62 : Alto de Santa Barbara - 3°
km 119 : Puerto de Las Coronas - 3°
km 156: Alto Loiti - 3°
After the first rest day, the riders will leave Huesca to go to Pamplona, the city of Miguel Indurain. Next stage will bring them to Basque Country |
