As you will no doubt have noticed, there was a DB error in the game that Kami had posted 3 stages of, and had played all of. This unfortunately means the race has to be started again from scratch, and the stages of V1 are cleared from the Management Game. I dont know what the results were there, and I dont need to.
And since Kami is now busy, Ill be taking on Paris-Nice. And the good news for you all is, Vesuvio shouldnt be anywhere in the GC battle here! Ill update the thread with a startlist for the corrected Paris-Nice when I get round to start the race. I might not be able to get it started before Thursday, and to compensate for all the delay, the quality of reports may not be the most detailed, as priority now needs to be to get the speed back up again!
'The race to the sun'. One of the traditional preparation races for Milan - San Remo. This year's parcour includes 3 flat stages, 3 hilly stages, 1 mountain stage and a hilly time-trial. We'll probably see the biggest gaps on stage 5 & 6. On the other stages, the last climb is pretty far away from the finish.
The variety of stages brings top-class riders on most fields to this race. On paper, the first 3 (maybe 4?) stages will be for the sprinters. When taking a look at the field you can see quite a few top sprinters here. Santander with Ventoso, Bacardi with Steegmans and Carmeuse with Roelandts came just for those stages. They are joined by Qatar winner Swift, Kreder, Granjel Cabrera, Vanderbiest, Pozzato, Lavoine, Feillu, Castenada and Hofman among others.
For the overall, Gesink is the favorites, as the combination of hills, TT and mountains should suit him best. He's very closely followed by last years TdF-winner Spilak and Trofimov. Both also excel in all 3 disciplines, with Trofimov also being able to ride a decent sprint. They are joined by riders who are good at different disciplines and at that point the guessing starts; which stages will be decisive? Will a rider like Pozzato who can't climb get a good result, or will a pure climber like Iglinski end high? Or will it come down to the time-trial where we will see Zabriskie and Rogers face off?

Nice - Eventhough I feel sorry for the guys who had a good first 3 stages. Hopefully the stages will look fairly identical to the first ones.

Disaster, Roelandts is now a bigger favourite than Ventoso.

Nice to see Pozzato among the favorites now... Too bad that Lavoine will damage his chances - Can I withdraw him from the race?

So the big man from Germany is in front of the pack but Kreder is not even close of following his wheel. Maybe they'll get a better timing when the stage victory will be at stake.

Great start on the hills for Trofimov, every second is important here, as Gesink, Schumacher and Spilak are great challengers for the overall win.
Feel sorry for SotD, horrible riding from Pozzato on stage 3.
Edit: And very nice to see the reports coming this fast, great reading.

Nothing new here. I just need Contador to crash out of the final stage in Catalunya now, and we have hit a full house of crashes.
Wtf is happening... Seems this will be a season where I need to avoid relegation instead of fighting for the top 3, due to all these crashes and/or lazy attitude

In two ways: chasing the break, and blocking everyone who was on the right side on the road.
I'm happy with the KoM, but i'll lose it anyways i guess. I have no idea why Kruopis only started sprinting when he was reeled in though.

A problem with PCM for as long as I can remember, unfortunately. Riders in solo groups dont sprint, even when they should, and would do in real life.

My weakest team for one of the three stage races, and possibly my best performance so far (in the re-run!). Nice.
