PNG needs ages to load because the file size is much bigger than .jpegs would be.

Just to compare: 1920x1080 PNG Screenshots are ~3mb big.
Convert to JPEG makes it to ~1mb.
Image size to 58% -> 1113x626 -> 3-400kb
Image quality down to 80% .> 100-150kb.
Quite a big difference if you have 100 pictures on a story page.
That are the values I use for my story as the size is still pretty big and 80% quality makes no difference. You just don`t see it and it`s way smaller.
I use the programs "Resize my Photos" for the 58% image size.
Then the program "picture_converter" for the 80% and JPEG convert.
Both programs can handle many pictures at the same time, what might be the biggest advantage to Paint.NET in this case. |
