SAS Nordic Cycling
The New Age of Nordic Cycling
The Nordic council has agreed to endorse a cross-region cycling team. The team will enter makes it first showing in the 2011 season, as a Continental Team.
Backed by a series of regional sponsors, the team will take ~90% of its riders directly from Nordic countries. It will increase the profile of cycling in these countries, and the profiles of new riders from these countries.
Over the next few days we will announce Sponsors, Riders, Staff, Goals, Equipment and other important information.

Why did I learn at school that Scandinavia consists of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland??? Do I keep forgetting these things already, or are you guys wrong?

Common misconception ... Finland is not technically part of Scandinavia, but is one of the Nordic countries, as well as the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland ... and the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are also loosly included, and may make appearences in the team.
