So, who is everyone's tip for the promotion spots and also the CT champion? (Include guesses for the globl variations too).
Here's my guesesses, if one is correct itll be surprising.
Promotion
Une Orbitel - Its hard to ignore the great input of talent Karl has brought to the team
DFL Cyclingnews - Perhaps the dark horse of the Continental tour? Some good signings so far.
Just missing out:
Panaria, Wiesenhof and Tinkoff
Good showing but unable to promote due to having a PT team:
Nippo
Rock bottom:
Letua
Best Rider
Domonico Pozzovivvo - In my opinion one of the strongest riders who wil lstick with Panaria. Not enough to quite give them promotion I feel, but I still think he'll be the best rider.
Best Team and Rider - America Tour
Ill make my choice heavily biased on my Vuelta a Colombia prediction that Oscar Pereiro will win for Une Orbitel. So I reckon they will win the America tour, unless its already wrapped up in the US Races.
Best Team and Rider - Africa Tour
This is basically guessing who will win Giro del Capo. Its abig target for Barloworld and I think that could suit their hilly guy Aleksandr Efimkin.
Best Team and Rider - Asia Tour
As much as Id like to say my team, I cant look past the fact that I only really have Manan, Casper and Wiggins. I think Nippo can perform well in Qatar, Australia at the flatter part of Langkawi to win the team goal, but my rider tip is Pozzovivvo.
Best Team and Rider - Europe Tour
Perhaps the hardest to predict? I expect Leif Hoste to get the maximum 400 points out of the cobbles and other strengths mean that he is my tip for Europe glory. The best team? Ill go for DFL, since I reckon they could be promoted.
Whats your opinion on whos gonna win what?

my combonation of Garate and Astarloza can compete with anyone in the big mountains. If some of my signings come through i may earn promotion, but at the moment i'm not quite there.

i can't actually keep track of some people who don't post rosters like Orbitel, so it's a bit hard to judge.

From the top of my head, they have the likes of Pereiro, Valjavec, Arroyo, and Sinkewitz.

Im a bit hesistant to call myself a contender for promotion really; Hoste will win the cobbled races and i dont have a proper sprinter yet.
As for the mountains its going to be tense. Karl got a nice crew to back up Pereiro. But i got two guys who might not match him, but they could quite possibly take 2nd and 3rd.
Oh yeah, i might post a roster tommorow.

I need a sprinter, and maybe another hills man, outside of Pasamontes. If the sprinter was good on cobbles it would be nice.

Deans definately by tip for the TDU, although I hope Casper/Manan can threaten your rule at some places.

I can't wait to see the continental tour, it should be really interesting. I suppose the only thing we can count on is for Hoste to dominate the cobbles. I can't wait for it all to get started again.

maybe a better sprinter can hang on to him, and then beat him in the sprint. Or he just gets lazy.
