It's probably my fault for being a Noob and expecting my main riders to ride all year round but my rider fitness is very low and we're coming into the Vuelta in my game. I thought that if I just let my riders rest for a week or two then they would gain some fitness but it's declined.. So how would I get fitness up and how do you guys determine who shoulds go to what Race..
I ask this because I stupidly put most of my riders into both the TDF and Giro and they are shattered, almost a month after the end of the TDF..
Any help is very appreciated!
Thanks in advance. |

The fitness consists of the training fitness and the race fitness. A rider can have a maximum of 80 points in training fitness and max. 20 in race fitness.
Training fitness:
You can raise the training fitness by using or setting the fitness schedules. Level 6 of training would result in 80 training fitness, but your cyclist has to build up the fitness slowly, so he needs to train on the lower levels before he can train level 6.
On the other side, training will tire your cyclists (which can be seen in the fatigue bar). If the fatigue goes over a certain threshold, they will lose fitness. The max. training fitness will decrease and only a total training stop can make him recover. You would need to set his fitness training to level 1 and wait until the fatigue decreases, which does take a while. After that they can start training again.
Race fitness:
The race fitness is build while racing races and decreases on all other days.
If a rider reaches 60 race days, his max. race fitness will decrease 1 point every two race days. He cannot recover from this until next season.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I suppose that shows, as most my riders have over 100 days raced..
So, on the whole, what would you advice me to go?! |

Fight your way through the rest of this season, your riders are going to be trashed when it comes to fitness, which will kill them in races, use some of your other riders to pick up some of the strain. If your at the Vuelta, you only have a little ways further to go. For the most part this season is over for your main riders.
At 100 days, the possible 20 points race fitness is gone, so the best you can hope to see is 80, but your fatigue is also really high too, so you have to bring down your training levels, if you had a rider with 60 condition going into a race that would be good right now. And at 60 your odds of winning late in the season are slim to none in any big race. Even in the smaller races it would be very difficult.
Next season I wouldn't try to have anyone do all three GTs, I normally split my best riders up into a Classics/Giro/Vuelta team and a TDF team.

Thanks for your help too. I've just taken Joaquim Rodriguez to the Vuelta after he crashed out of the TDF with a nasty injury. He has raced for nearly 100 days but he's so far in the top 6 in the GC, so lets hope he can keep it up.
..But this may be my last and only season on PCM 11 as I STILL have this money Bug! |

It says that it can't extract it for some reason.. I'm confused? I have WinRar now and the .4 patch but when trying to overwrite and replace the .dat file it won't do it. |

Even if it totally off topic: Download the fix, extract it to your desktop, then move the extracted dat file. |

I have the PMC.Dat on my Desktop now.. Now what do I do. How do I move the extracted dat fiel? And where do I put the one which is now on my desktop.
Sorry for the trouble, but I'm no Winrar expert.. If it's easier PM me so we aren't going off topic!
Thanks! |

"Installation: Extract the file to your main PCM-folder, e.g. Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2011."
So move it to where the game is installed.
