Welcome to the first Mumbai cycloclassic, which gives us the professional debut for 3 Div 2 teams, this race has also drawn the best of the best in continental sprinters, Bennati leads them, but Kennaugh also starts his battle with former team mate Cavendish, Davis is here to see if he can remain unbeatable. Cooke and Feillu are also going to be up there.
We have a 4 man break: Berhane, Kirsch, Murakami and Div 2 rider Rigotto, Rapha have now managed to get them selves out of chasing duty
Or not, as Rapha end up helping out Proximus and Puma
16km to go, and with the break 1 minute ahead Proximus have taken charge, Bennati and Gasparotto waiting just behind Cavendish
Berhane has attacked the break and with 10km remaining his lead is still 45 seconds
In the peleton Bennati has overtaken Cav, with Kennaugh, Davis and Cooke waiting behind him
As Berhane is brought back Feillu goes for an attack
Puma now take charge, Feillu has pulled out that gap a little too comfortably
5km to go and Feillu has a 30 second gap
The chase is very disorganised
2km to go and Feillu is holding onto his lead
Ulanowski and Bennati start to sprint, Cavendish is trying to get back to his leadout man
1km to go and Feillu still has a small lead
Feillu starts to sprint
But Bennati pulls along side
and takes victory
Cavendish and Cooke have a photo finish for 2nd, Davis is 4th
Kennaugh is 5th, just ahead of the best D2 rider, Gomes Colinas. Kvist and Tzorzakis are the other riders who pass Feillu, before Ulanowski gets 10th
That photo finish, it took be 15 minutes to get a phto with proof, but Cooke just gets it
