Hey guys, I just wondered how you do at the start of a career when you plan the season, because I just can't do it it seems.
I use the season planner but don't really know THAT much about cycling and how many race days/which race category etc. How do you decide which riders to participate where? Where do you start? |

Here's some basic tips:
- The optimum number of racing days for any rider is 60 per season. they can always ride more than 60 ofc, but after that magic number every two extra days will increase fatigue and decrease performance. So plan for 60-70 days max per rider.
- Create custom plans for each of your top riders and get them to race where they have the best chance to win, e.g. Tour-Giro-Vuelta you need good climbers/timetrialists with high recuperation; spring classics you need high skills in hills and high energy, etc.
- Once you have your season plans for your top 2-3 riders, decide the teams they will have and assign them a similar season plan as the leader.
-In terms of the plans, your objective is to get your top riders in top form (green bar) during the important races, but to get to the top form they have to go through previous stages (red-brown-yellow) and that takes time (training and racing). So play around with the season planner, find your optimum plan and save it.
Hope this helps at least to get you started |

Sometimes when i am planning season and dont know what races should riders participate in, i just take a look at real races and i make team as in real life - this shows you a little which rider should be in race plus it is interesting to compare results then Also dont forget to build up fitness before important races - for example right now in my career with Rabobank i am riding in TdF - so all 9 riders were preparing in pre-tour races - Tour de Suisse and Dauphine (unfortunately Mollema got injured ). Also take a look at the profile of races you want to participate in - it is useless to nominate Contador for P-R because he will not have a chance And also if u want to success in GT make sure you have good time-trialist in squad because of team TT, this can make a big difference in the end. |

Yeah guys I'm giving up this... It would be super awesome if someone could plan this damn season for me. I just don't have it in me....
If someone would be an angel here's the file: https://www.megaup...d=E48Z3VME
The cobbled races are a priority, so Hushovd/Haussler/Vansummeren should be in top shape.
In Giro they wanted a top 3, so I put Danielson there, while the Tour is more sprinter oriented (Farrar, Hushovd and Dean) and the french guy Le Mevel as well.
The rest I have no idea how to plan! Appreciate any help I can get. |

Sorry, but I can't see anything different between your file and the one I uploaded. |

First season planner, then in the game. But it seems to be the original training plans. Le Mevel peaks at giro, Farrar barely peaks at Tdf etc. |

Maybe he forgot to load the training schedules in the game or forgot to attach them here. |
