We're here and it's the first real chance for the hilly riders to gain an advantage. Bellis is favourite after his his impressive sprint yesterday, but Ginanni and Di Maggio are both World class hilly riders, so it's going to be a real battle to the line
10 riders try and get free, but the peleton feel that 3 focused riders is excessive so they all get pulled back
A seven rider break forms with a more socially acceptable number of Focus riders: Coutts, Thomson, Koep, Schillenger, Le Gac, Borges and Elissonde
Schillenger wins the sprint to the first climb, Coutts and Elissonde follow him
Coutts wins the sprint to the second KoM, thus earning himself the KoM jersey tomorrow. Koep and Le Gac are next
Saab have the break well under control with 47km to go, they are just 2 minutes behind
The penultimate hill starts with 23km to go and the last 3 riders have 1'24". They are Thomson, Elissonde and Schillenger
Schillenger pulls away from the other two as he tops the hill.
No one wants to chase and the gaps go out
15km to go and the gap is now 2'08" Schillenger is looking strong.
Vespa are now working at the front
10km to go for Schillenger and he has this sown up, he has a minute on the two chasers, with the peleton now 2'30" behind him.
Kolobnev decides he needs to do something and attacks
He doesn't get anywhere but Konovalovas, Hesjedal and Gaudin now attack
Roy and Kessler now try to get clear
As they reach the other 4 attackers Roy pushes on with Kolobnev on his wheel, the 2 chasers are almost caught
The peleton pulls them all back and Schillenger has cracked! he's only got 30 seconds on the rest now.
3km to go and Kessler attacks, he clearly doesn't trust his teammate
And immediately starts sprinting, he has a small gap on the peleton lead by Konovalovas and Hesjedal
Kessler catches Schillenger
but Wyss is shuting both of them down, and Hushovd is coming as well
Wyss moves into second, Kessler seems to have found a rhythm though
Everyone is coming together now
Wyss takes the lead, Biondo is moving fastest now
Biondo and Jiriakov go either side of Wyss, Sulzberger is moving very quickly as well
Biondo gets victory, Sulzberger is second, then Jiriakov Wyss and McCarthy, who just passes the two Vespa riders on the line
Biondo also moves into yellow, Hushovd is second, with Sulzberger third
