I've been using PCM Fast Editor since i got PCM 2011 without any problems, but now, I ran into a problem.
Whenever I try to save my DB, it simply stops responding. It says an error occured, and the program therefore stopped working. After that, I press ''Close Program'', and the popup just disappear, while the program keeps running. This happens everytime at ''Exporting Database''. I checked if it actually did save, and it didn't.
I tried re-installing the editor, but still got the same problem. I tried a different DB, and it actually worked with that.
Any suggestions?

There is a feature to check the database for errors. Did you do that?

No, but I just ran it... It found 759 problemes. How is that possible? I've edited this DB before, and saved it succesfully aswell. I never changed anything, the places it find problems.

You do not need to fix everything. But if it shows an error where you did some changes, then better fix it.
As you found out, it only crashes with one DB so it is your fault. If you cannot find the error, then open the original file and do your changes again. But this time, test it after each change you do. |

No cause, if I just open the DB i wanna edit, and try to save it, without doing any changes, it still crash/makes an error and doesn't save. So it's not any changes I've just made, which cause it. It must be something else.

Do you try to edit the DB or the save. If you edit the save, and you are in 2012 or later, then it might be because of the variants.
If you want to edit the DB, then try if you can open and save it with the full editor or my editor. |

It's a save in 2015, so yea from the looks of the errors, it seem to have something to do with the variants. So I can't edit it then? Not even with your editor?

I don't know. Attach your save to your message, maybe I can see and fix the error. |

I was able to edit in it succesfully just a few days ago, but since then, I ran into the crash where PCM crashed at the 31/12/2014. I had it fixed by someone in the Bug-thread, so maybe what he fixed, causes this error now? He said it was something with variants.
Savegame attached.

I found the error and removed it. It is the third stage of the TdF (IDstage = 596).
Now you should be able to edit it.
But you might have to fix that stage. The columns fkIDstage_type and gene_f_distance are wrong and I just entered some numbers so that the editor does not crash.
I do not know what numbers you have to enter there, but you should be able to find them when you open the stage with the stage viewer. |

Coul you upload the updated DB?
I assume gene_f_distance is the distance of the stage, but what is fkIDstage_type, and how do I see what it should be in stage viewer?

Sorry, I did select the DB, but something went wrong.
1 = Flat
2 = Hill
4 = Mountains
Edit: Again, it did not upload. I try to rename it.
Edit2: Now it is OK.

Haha, thanks man I'll go check the stage now. I think when you choose ''Preview Reply'', attached files gets deleted
Edit: You did it quite well, the type was hilly, and the distance was 199, and you typed 200
