ok ok...before i drown after a heading like that...i could go on all day regarding the best/good features of the game. i absolutely love it and if i wasnt being picky, i couldnt fault it at all. but anyways...if you could highlight the biggest negative feature in the game - what would it be?
for mine...it is the lack of info when hitting the mountains. its not rocket science that in the big races, the mountains are where it is won and lost so i believe there should be more info. this can be solved so simply for mine - the profile info that you can get when selecting a stage (i refer to the mountain gradients of each climb) - this could be displayed via a little box that pops up as you hit that mountain. would do this for each climb you encounter. then we'd have more info which would help attacks and the likes. would be a much welcomed addition in my opinion
maybe a wasted thread...but meh...just thought id throw it out there. ya never know - such talk may result in changes for the better one day!

Sponsors.
Not that sponsors are bad, but the way that they work at the moment is frustrating. There has been a huge improvement over time, and now it is down to lots of little things.
For example: When sponsors change, the initials stay the same. And the fact that the goals are either nigh on impossible or piss easy. There are other things to.

if it was only that..., but there is also the fact that sponsor satisfaction is not working - so the whole sponsor screen is just pointless at the moment - and not having the possibility to renew your own sponsor |

The thing is I don´t see your point with the mountain info. You can always check the stage profile during the race so you know exactly when the climb starts, and you can also check the current gradient on the rider screen ... what else do you need? a voiceover shouting "climb, silly!"? |

I forgot about that.... But I did say there are other things to. What about making adding jerseys and equipment and editing databases easier? Or the fact that the games always seem to be unfinished and I have to dload the equivalent size in patches or that the conversion between the different currencies is wrong and I could go on. But I won't.

I think it's a good feature. When you hit the climb there comes a little box which shows you the length, altitude and the slope in percent. Like in the live coverage of the race. |

The worst feature for me is the placing of riders at the start of a race. I hate it when there is a climb early in the race and when my guy trying for the KoM, leader or the guy I want to send on the early break are at the back of the bunch.
I'd love it if the leaders were at the front and if you could select 2 other riders that would be in the first 50 of the bunch. |

I think you should be able to choose from different shirt designs and the be able to choose which position the different sponsors should be in when you get a new sponsor. AND your to sponsors contract dont expire at the same time, like Omega-Pharma Lotto, you should be able to see lotto on the shirt still. It's ridiculous to have a team called Virgin - Lotto and then there is no sign on the shirt that Lotto is a sponsor:S
And like someone said, the initials HAVE to change when the sponsors change.
Big thanks to MrSpartacus for the avatar

I think the climbs should be simulated in a 1:1 scale, i don't want a 30 km climb to only last a couple of min. I think the stages should be 1:1 scale, we DO have that time acceleration feature. |

That´s among the silliest i´ve read so far. The correct conversion for currencies changes nearly every second, so of course it can´t be correct.
Also, editing the DB is very easy, compared to other games.
Changing initials takes not more than one minute, changing the contract lenght also takes less than a minute.
Further, i never had problems with my sponsor goals. If you don´t like your goals, it takes less than two minutes to make them more difficult or easier.

I want a wider road, with better AI management of how to go around other riders. Can't even try to guess how many times I've basically been dropped out of a race because a rider drops back and basically pushes my rider back with him. Best case scenario my rider spends a good deal of extra energy to catch back up, or never does at all. Worst time for this is in forming lead out trains, Be having a great lead out train going then all the sudden a rider (either my own team or another teams) pulls off the front of the train, and right into the patch of my sprinter and ends up pushing him so far back that he is out of the race.

Not only on this PCM 2011, but, neither cyanide take a look of this, to change or improve:
press conference and interviews are so stupid, it hasnt none effect , we need more interactions with our riders.

About the mountain info thing, in previous versions of the game, you had the names of the climbs you were currently in displayed for you (as long as the stagemaker had put them in of course). They popped up in the upper part of the "time gaps" box i remember. I know it doesn't provide that much information, but i liked it and i can't understand why such a tiny and usefull feature has been removed. In hilly races like LBL and RvV it's a really smart and easy way of always knowing what climb you're actually in. |

stage profile during the race - yes. but nowhere does it tell you the gradients of each climb. it tells you this if you load up the game to just race a single stage. there is tell you details of each mountain...lenght and gradients. now why can't that box be incorportated into the gameplay? as a post above states - a box would not be hard and apparently its been there in previous versions. attacking on mountains is highly dependent on the gradient. this has been stated in other threads. so would do the world of good knowing you are on a mountain currently climbing at 10% and thinking about attacking with the gradient slightly dropping ahead. or vice versa

And I don't want to spend an hour climbing Alpe d'Huez. |

The 1:1 scale on mountain stages doesn´t make too much sense. You´d need a time accleration like x64 and that means you couldn´t react fast enough in many scenarions (the peloton acclerating, one of your riders crashing). As cactus-jack said, playing on normal speed simply takes too long.
