I'm playing PCM 2011 for 3 weeks now on my new laptop. But yesterday, there came a screen that said that PCM doesn't work anymore. What do I have to do? |

I now have about 3 weeks pcm on my new laptop and everything was going good so far. But recently I can not play the game anymore, this is what I do:
1. I press 'Play'
2. The game starts, I see the two videos.
3. Once the videos are finished, there's an error that says: PCM doesn't work anymore. Then there are two options: - close the program
- look for help on the internet and close the program. But this doesn't work.
The last time I could play pcm, I changed some options like changing the color. When I pressed ok and there was something that the settings are too high for my computer. I have yet i7. Maybe that's why it doesn't work anymore? |

if the settings are to high you will get problems when playing 3D races but it does not make your game crash when starting.
The crash could come from a corrupt save file, a corrupt local.cdb or the cache.
Try to delete the cache first:
- Open your explorer (not internet explorer) and type %APPDATA%, then press Enter.
- Go into the folder Pro Cycling Manager 2011 and delete the folders called "Cache", "History", "RAD" and "Temp"
- Start the game
If it does not work, rename the local.cdb
- Go to the folder my documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\
- Rename the local.cdb to local.cdb.backup
- start the game
If it still does not run, then rename the whole Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder in my documents. |

Thank you for your time, but none of these things works. I tried them step by step, but every time the same message appeared. What do I have to do, I really don't like it anymore. I wanna play...  |

The last thing you can do is:
- uninstall the game
- delete both pcm folders (%APPDATA% and My documents)
- Install the game
- Install the patch
- Try it |

If I uninstall and then reinstall the game like you suggest, is it then possible to make a backup of my current savegame, so I don't lose that? |

You don't lose them anyway because they will not be deleted, but you can backup the pcm folder in "my documents" |
