Adding races to a savegame

I started a career on the original DB and would like to add a couple of new races and also some variants.

Is the procedure to add them to the savegame the same as when you edit a database?

Also is it safer to wait until the end of the season to do so?

I have never added a race to a savegame, so whether the procedure is the same than when you add one to a DB or not I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that it's better to wait for the end of the season to add it.

Adding races and stages to a savegame or DB is the same. there are some instructions in this forum how to do it.

The game does make the season planning for all teams at the beginning of the year, so you would have to do it when the season is over but before the next season starts. (26th of october to 31.12.)

Adding variants is another thing, you can add them at any time because they only apply for the next seasons anyway. There are instructions how to add them to a started career also. Because this is not the same procedure as adding them to the game.

The procedure is pretty much the same. STA_Stage and STA_race in general.

You just won`t participate in the season. Next season it will work. So yes, doing it in the off season would be good.
