Willunga is here, Ben Nasser, Rabon and Visconti are favourites, but it really is anyones game.
Attacks go immediately, with 7 riders getting clear early, inspired by the fact that the KoM jersey is decided today. The seven are: Hiratsuka, Pronk Freire, Lewis, Pineau, Minard and Coutts
Van der Cande and Baez join them
Minard, Freire, Van der Sande is the order through the sprint, just after, Aru crossed the gap to make the break a nice round 10
With 70km to go Bianchi start pulling the gap down, it's now just 4 minutes
Minard gets the second sprint as well, Pineau and Van der Sande coming second and third
As the break climb Willunga hill for the frst time, they have a two minute advantage.
It's Pineau who takes the 16 points atop the climb to move into the KoM jersey, Van der Sande is second, just ahead of Hiratsuka
Over the top we have splits, as both Cavendish and Cooke drop out the back. Gil's pace up the climb was feroucious, with the pelton now a minute back
As the peleton cross the finish line with 22km to go the impetus has left them and the break have an advantage of 1'42" again
Visconti blinks first and he attacks with 21km to go
Gerrans and Bobridge follow as the break comes into veiw
Bobridge gets pulled back, but the other two make it to the front
Ben Nasser attacks as it all comes together
Gerrans, Visconti and Freire are the first 3 over the top, but Pineau's 5th place gives him the jersey at the end of the day
Bianchi are banking on Ciolek, as the front 20 riders get away Rabon and Gil drop back to help chase
6 riders pull clear, Ben Nasser, Gerrans, Visconti, Van der Sande, Hiratsuka and Lloyd
Lewis pulls them back
We have a 25 rider front group with 15km lefft to race:
Visconti, Van der Sande (Unicredit)
Ben Nasser, De Maar (Proximus)
Gerrans, Mori, SOnnery, Impey (Red Bull)
Davis, Scheirlinckx, Proni, Sambris (Hollister)
Hiratsuka, Lloyd (Meiji)
Pronk (Saab)
Gasparotto, Minard, Delage (Puma)
Marinangeli, Sagan, Aru (Venchi)
Bobridge, Lewis (Oz)
Freire (Koppert)
Pinaeu (Focus)
8km to go and Impey, Davis and Gasparotto move to the front
5km to go and Red Bull are doing most of the work, will Impey or Gerrans be their leader?
3km to go and Visconti leads, Sonnery, Davis and Impey are in his slipstream.
1km to go and no one wants to sprint yet, Sonnery is leading now
Gasparotto moves first
He takes the lead as Davis tries to respond
and Gasparotto wins, Davis is second with Impey third.
Mori and Freire finish off the top five
Ciolek crosses the line 1'15" down, jersey gone
This puts Davis in the lead, what a start to the season he is having. Impey Gasparotto, Marinangeli and Gerrans are all tied on 24 seconds for second place
