okay then
Henao develops into a great climber, with stats of high 70s-81 in Hill/Mountain
Kennaugh develops into a good climbing domestique (77MO and 74 hill)
Van Garderen (on my save at least) is due for a TT attribute of 84
Silin is the next Gilbert (minus the cobbles, i believe)
Boasson Hagen develops into a mean sprinter (SP 84 and ACC 80) |

That's a wrong assesment from the DB developers imo. At the moment he looks to be developing into diesel climber with a strong sprint finish. Look at this years Dauphine and stage 17 of TdF where he toyed with strong climbers like Chavanel, Mollema etc. on a 8k climb. Don't think he'll ever justify a 80++ sprint stat.
He ought to have a much higher hill stat potential, as that is the route he looks to be going. |

That's not the database developers fault, potentials are generated originally at the beginning of each carreer. EBH is a better sprinter than he is a climber (only by a bit, but still), therefore, with a high potential, he is more likely to develop a good sprint.
Again, not DB creators fault, it's the game. But if we assign stat limits in a DB, there's no fun in that and people will argue non stop |

@tobolm, there is no fixing multitalent riders like Hagen.
Hagen is obviously a guy of great potential, so db makers give him 7 or 6.
He is at the moment very fast in sprints, good at hills, cobbles and very good at ITT.
The way his stats are assembled, his sprint stat most likely comes up highest. This makes the game think Hagen is a sprinter, and combined with his potential, turn into a top sprinter.
You have to understand this is very hard to fix. If you give him a lower sprint value so he turns into a good classics rider or time triallist, people will complain he is too bad at sprinting in comparison to real life.
Either way, you'll never get everyone to be happy with the outcome.
Welcome to the world of db makers in struggle ;-)
You'll never get everyone satisfied
Best is you change it for yourself and don't comment on it. That's what I do nowadays. No comment on stats for db's, just change it myself if i don't like a thing |
