Help adding variants

Hey guys, I'm in the fourth year of my career and I tried to add a variant pack.
So I put the files in the correct locations, started a new career and copied the "DYN_Variant_date" table to my existing career. But since I was in December 2014 I thought I had to change the gene_i_date in DYN_variant_date to somewhere in January 2015 using UNIX timestamp right?
I did this, but I didn't get the ingame message that the new courses were available. And at first glance, the TdF is the same. (Starts in Rotterdam)
Any idea what went wrong? Or shouldn't I have changed the gene_i_date?
Or do I have to change something in the rules.xml files? |

You have to continue in the career. the variants should be presented by mail. they don't just change at the first of January. |

Thanks, but I already continued my career, I'm now riding the Tirreno-Adriatico, so I'm in mid-March. Should I have gotten the message already or is there nothing to worry about (yet)?

Oh wait a minute, I looked at the rules.xml from the Tour and I saw this:
<defined year="2011" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
<defined year="2012" variantMin="3" variantMax="3"/>
<defined year="2013" variantMin="4" variantMax="4"/>
<defined year="2014" variantMin="1" variantMax="1"/>
<defined year="2015" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
I'm in 2015 now, and I guess this means that this is a rotation system and this year I get the same stages as in 2011 right? Hm, than it's just bad timing on my part and I'll have to wait for next year... |

Also it`s not just DYN_variant_date.
It`s also DYN_Variant_stage.
You need to copy both tables. |

Yeah I forgot to mention, but I also did that 
I guess my problem is just the rotation system though. |

If you haven`t started the January races yet, you could try to load a weekly save from December and then change the rules and do it again. |
