it feels like ages since ive played, 09 was my last edition and didnt play much, but the desire to play is back.
Im having trouble with installing PCM.daily's Expansion Pack V0.5 (Public Beta) + the fix for spanish riders.
First step, install game. Step 2, install latest patch.
step 3, download the expansion pack, open the download, copy it to desktop. Open and install in C/programfiles(x86)/cyanide/pcm
Is step 3 right.?
If so, where do i put the fix.?

is my assumption regarding theexpansin pack v0.51 correct..?
ive read somewhere that 3 different files is needed and those should be in the samefolder, before running exe. |

2. Open the file called PCMdailyExpansionPackV05.exe
3. Follow the guide and read everything carefully.
4. When asked where to install, make sure that it's pointed to your main PCM-folder.
5. Open the game and make sure to pick OfficialRelease.cdb

Thats how you install the public beta
ive read that, but i dont get option 3 on my download.
I get the expansion pack and 2 blank pages/files named PCMdailyExpansionPackV05 respectivelyfile 002 and 003
thats why im confused regarding installing the expantion pack |

The first one is the EXE. You could see the file extension, if you would deactivate that feature (hide known file extensions) in your explorer. |

i´ve doublelclicked the exe file and it was then put in the main pcm folder.
Just as the instructions stated, is there anything else i should do regarding the expansion pack..?
regarding the fix, ive put that in documents/pcm/users/Database. In there there is 3 other folders, downloaded, solo and multiplayers. Only in the solo folder is there a file, called officialrelease.
I get the right rider names, but i cant choose spanish riders.

LACHI ive found your response in another post regarding installation problems, this was in a thread called Pcm-daily expansion pack V0.5.
it goes like this:
Install the DB
1. Download the three files.
2. Double click the EXE file of these 3.
3. Click next until your reach the 4th step
4. Select C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2011
5. Continue and wait until the DB has been installed
Install the FIX
1. Download the fix
2. Navigate to this folder "MyDocs/PCM2011/user/your username/database/"
3. Put the downloaded file into this folder
4. Start the game
5. Go to the database options
6. Select the file
7. Close Options
8. Start a new career
I have no problem withinstalling the DB, but when t comes to the fix and being able to choose this in game, that would be option numero 6, there is only the officialrelease there. The fix is simply not where it should be, even if i have followed the exact instructions, as stated above. |

its the same name as PCMdailyExpansionPackV05.cdb
just delete PCMdailyExpansionPackV05.cdb in C:\my Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Users\
you will see probably 10 folders inside and the DB file PMdailyExpansionPackV05.cdb
now just put the fix in there and delete the first DB PMdailyExpansionPackV05.cdb
if you cant work that out im sorry i cant make it any easier

p.s ok listen if you install the pcm dailys DB but you didnt start a game using it then youll probably wont see it in my documents in the first place so just put the fix in there even if you cant see the bloody first PCMdailyExpansionPackV05.cdb then go back start your game up go into option look for the DB it should be there now ok .

I intsalled the pack, put in the fix in mydocuments/pcm/users/, yet i cant choose spanish riders.
ive even tried MYd0c/pcm/users/my name and also mydoc/pcm/users/myname/database and they dont work either. |

but its basic stuff we talking here install the PCM dailys expansion pack wich installs every thing auto for you ,,,,then you just download the fix put it in C:\myDocuments\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Users\YOUR NAME FOLDER
p.s you do know how to choose a DB once youve started the game up ???? |

ive done exactly what youve just mentioned cogneto. The pack does the worh itself, i placed the fix in that exact folder, but yet no spanish riders available.
Sure, options and choose db, sadly i only see the official release, but not the fix.

There's so much mis-information here that it's no wonder that the OP has trouble.
If you installed the latest patch, the Expansion Pack Fix (the file called PCMDailyExpansionPack051.cdb) has to be installed in My Documents/PCM/Database (if it doesn't exist, create it yourself) -- NOT My Documents/PCM/Users/Your Username/Database (that's the correct folder pre patch 1.0.4.4). |

im looking at the Data base and ive edited heaps and mine is here and works
C:\Users\myname\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Users\myname
i know its here as well My Documents/PCM/Database but ive never edited this one so i got no idea ...i give up
i just tried to help guess i wont bother any more!
