Hi guys.
I have this huge problem! When I play some stages, my computer just suddenly shuts down. Sometimes it's just at a random point in the stage, and sometimes it's after the stage when the game is just about to go to the podium ceremony.
I also tried playing track. Same result! It just shuts down without no warning at all. And furthermore; I experienced the same with PCM 10!
I'm playing with patch 1.0.4.4 at the moment. Anyone have any suggestions for some trouble shooting here?

Is your computer really hot when it shuts down? It could be a case of overheating, especially if you play on a laptop. I noticed that my laptop's fan works harder on pcm than on fifa for instance. |

Well, that might very well be the case!
Can I do anything to prevent this? |

I don't think this is the problem. CrueTrue made a list with things that could be the reason for a PCM-Crash. I had/have the same problem. Switch off the antivirus-software during the play is one thing that could work. |

Hmm
What are the specs of your computer, and is a desktop and laptop. Also the best way to prevent overheating is too lower the graphic settings. |

This seems like it's not a software related problem. And as far as I know, antivirus software isn't able to just shut the computer down. And as pienet says, it is probably because of the computer overheating. Try adjusting one or more of the fans to 100%. Or you can clean the dust out of your computer using compressed air. |

More power = more dust
I don't remember exactly how to adjust the fans, but the CPU fan should be adjustable from BIOS, and the GPU fan from Catalyst/Nvidia controll center.
Clean the dust using something like this:

Buy a proper computer to play games.
If you still want to play with your notebook, then you can use tricks to cool it down, for example:
- If you use an external monitor, open the lid or your notebook
- Make sure you do not block the airflow, for example never play on your lap or in the bed.
- Raise the notebook so that more air can flow underneath it
- Use additional cooling devices like fans

Hi! I tried now with just the battery, no power supply. And then the game didnt crash.. :s Does that say you anything? Yes. Windows does reduce the performance of your CPU if it runs on batteries. With lower performance, the CPU does produce less heat.
If you don't want to unplug your power supply, then cool your machine. The other option would be to reduce the power of your CPU in the energy options or through a third party tool.
BTW: Don't send a PM if it is not personal. |

There's a lot of cheap coolers around for laptops. It's worth a shot. |

Hi guys. I know it's been a while. My game finally works again! I didn't really find a 'solution', but I took my computer to this store so that they could fix my computer. Just before I did this, it was really critical. My computer got so overheated that it shut down ten minutes after I started the computer without me doing anything on it. No programs opened, no nothing started up... still shut down after ten minutes. So, as I mentioned, I took my computer to this store. Now, the interesting thing is that he didn't really repair it. They just took my computer out back, and they kind of 'blew' it clean so that no dust was stuck in the fans.
AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY NOW! My computer hasn't shut down once since. I'm so happy. I really was afraid that I had to go out and invest a lot af money in a new computer

Fine that it works again. Now keep your computer in a clean place and don't forget to vacuum clean your room once in a while. |
