Issues with the initially designated stage means that Stage 3's route is used here, and will be used again on Stage 3. It's pretty much flat all the way. You wonder why more sprinters arent here ... then you remember whats to come after this!
Breakaway time! Talansky, Dennis and Griffith go first, Orozco catches up with them to provide a South American presence
Talanksy takes the first sprint
Dennis the second
Theyre being chased down, despite attempts of a late attack
Theyre caught, and so Van Ooijen and Pozzo try something
But with Hoste hugging their wheels, and Cerne setting up a leadout, they stand no chance
Its a powerful show of force for Cerne, which Jorgensen has tagged on to. Jeannesson and Sinner trying to set up their own move which has Sabatini, Martinez, Keukeleire and Carrara
The sprint launches as Martins jumps out from the wheel of Viviani
Santos launches into the file kilometre, but Jorgensen is still there!
Its between these 2, Santos vs Jorgensen
And Jonas Aen Jorgensen takes it! A winning return to the Continental tour for him
Cerne delivered a great lead out, but unfortunately for them, Jorgensen benefited the most. 3rd place goes to Fabio Sabatini, and with it, the race lead!
Also, 6 riders randomly got dropped halfway through the stage. Might have been to do with collecting water bottles and falling asleep? Theyve lost 11 minutes, and this includes Amets Txurruka
