I have some weird behaviour with changing effort for riders. With some testing I now think the effort change of 1 rider, done via rightclick on the rider itself, changes the effort for the whole team without changing the numbers you see.
For instance, my whole team is in the peleton. All my guys are set to effort 85 and stay in group.
Attacks start and I send 1 rider with the breakaway. While he is in the breakaway, I tell him to take his turn on the front. I rightclick the rider and set effort to 55.
While the stage is progressing the other teams in the peleton will close the gap when we are past halfway. At this point I see my team in the peleton all blink red and fall backwards. Their effort still shows 85? When selecting my team (drawing a bracket around them with the mouse), rightclicking and changing the effort to 86 for instance, all looks well again in the peleton, but now I see my guy in the breakaway doing 60km/h on his own with a heartrate of 192!
I tested it later with trying to abandon a rider. Rightclicked him, effort on 0 and put him the ball (riding his own speed). My whole team was standing still, even though all their efforts were still 80.
When using the effort bar in the bottomleft corner I don't have this behaviour. If I do rightclick on the names on the left instead of the riders themselves, and using that effortbar I still have the same issue.
Am I the only one experiencing this? I couldn't find it when I quickly looked on the forum, but I apologize if I'm asking about something obvious Edited by Atreidez on 25-07-2011 17:07
Yep, I was describing this in another thread. I've been experiencing this since PCM 2010. Recently, I've noticed that if you use the controls at the bottom left (beneath the list of riders on your team) instead of right clicking and using the individual rider controls, it works as expected. But, boy does it take discipline to stay away from the rider controls.
I never had this in 2010, but only experienced it in 2011. Since there are other people with this behaviour I'll try finding/posting it on Cyanide forums.. Thanks for the feedback.
