I've had the same problem before. I think the solution is to select the rider you want to follow someone, then right click on the rider you want the other rider to follow, then click the follow button. If you just click it, then it may choose the wrong rider to follow. I think that should help some

You should use this button early (17.5 km to the finish line) else the other rider might already be "occupied".
You can test it on your own riders to see if you do it right. Take a bad sprinter and make him ride to the front of the peloton at 20km to the finish line. At 17.9, select your sprinter (left click). Then pause the game (P). Then right click the bad sprinter you just sent to the front (he needs to be in front of your selected sprinter). Now click the follow button. Unpause the game to see if it works (there should be an icon next to your sprinters name in the list at the left).
If this works, do the same on AI sprinters.

I think its a pretty realistic concept they've made. As I see it, how much speed you ride with during the time you try to follow has a lot to do with how well you latch on/follow the rider. Also if you try to follow a rider that can put in a significant better effort than you, it will be a problem for you to follow. Im speculating that the acceleration attribute has a lot to do with how well you initially will follow other riders, which would make sense IRL. And someone else might take the wheel of the rider you want to sit with, so you might in certain situations have problems with sitting where you want. I think its pretty realistic. |

I am not sure if I understood correctly but I think it is wrong.
You can follow anybody, no matter how far he is away or how fast he is. If you try to follow a sprinter, who already is followed by another sprinter, your rider either pushes the other sprinter away or just follows the him instead. Like this there can be strings of sprinters. Obviously it could happen, that an AI sprinter pushes your sprinter away but it does not happen that often. And if it does, just follow any other sprinter. |

Does anyone know if you can change the distance when this button becomes active?
