Effort, season fitness, training camps! Advice needed!
Lylover
Hey guys

Is avid player of PCM since 08 version. But now I play of course the new 2011!
I am a new user here, and thought I would come up with some questions I've always wondered about:

Effort, what should it lie in the different situations can come out in the different parts of a stage?
I usually put it at 70 when they sit in the peloton, also from 75 to 80 when they're ahead in a sprint. The outbreak is also 70th Keeps me really much about the 70th What is your experience / advice?

Talkin about season fitness. You make them yourself or do you just let the AI do it (preprogammed) and then follow AI's programs?
Never been good for fitness for riders at all actually! Some advice for what I can do?

User training camps? Personally, I use them NEVER.
What are your experiences with these / advice?

Greetings

Donald

EDIT: Sorry for the very bad english.... I hope you can get a context out of it Smile

Fitness:
I use my season planner tool to plan the season and the fitness schedules.

About the effort:
When "keeping position" the effort value determins the maximum effort the rider will use to keep his position. If he cannot keep the position using that effort, it starts flashing red. So you can raise it to prevent that your rider will drop out of the peloton.

But you can also use a lower value. During the first climbs of the stage it is not so important to keep the position at the very front of the peloton. So if you lower the effort, your rider will drop a little bit during the climb but he will save energy and will be able to ride to his previous position during the descent or in the flat. He will do this automatically. So you just have to make sure that he does not drop out of group completely.

When using "Short relay" or "individual effort" then you have to look at the heart rate. You might also read this thread: https://www.pcmdai...d_id=18843

Camps:
For me the camps are like doping. If you really have trouble winning the races, then either select a stronger team or rider or lower the difficulty in the settings, there really is no need to raise the stats of your riders using camps/doping.
