Hi! I have played PCM for a couple of years, and so know how most of the ingame mechanics works. But in career mode I have never understood how to develop young riders. So i wonder whats the most important factors if you want a young rider to develop? Is it to have good trainers, or just give them racedys? And is there any difference in taking a young riders to to a small race (continental tour) or a big rice like one of the GTs?
It's the combination of trainers -- specialization vs training -- potential. They took the thing away where the riders would gain experience from races (correct me if I'm wrong), cause if you did it right, a rider would raise from 70 to 80 in a year.

I think that kind of sucks, that riding races dont have any impact what so ever.
Maybe a little but well ok not the biggest issue in my opinion. When it comes to games like these I find that your own approach and feel of the game/real world is of the highest importance. This meaning that you try and play the games keeping it realistic (to a certain degree of course) and let your imagination do some work. If you have a good youngster then let him ride some important races and send him in a couple of breaks.
I often make choices which are not game wise optimal but which add to the fluff of my career. This is of course only my opinion and somewhat off topic. Hope you forgive me

I see your point, and I agree: you have to use your imagination, and make an effort yourself to make it realistic. And of course you are forgiven
