bad graphics, again
cachirro
i'm suferring from the same bad graphics every single PCM release.

i've uploaded a video for better understanding.

https://www.youtub...kGGUV9AHDg

can anyone help?

I don't know what you mean? Are all graphic options to the absolute max? If not, then raise them. If you are not able to, then buy a better computer.

cachirro
yes they are, otherwise, the post would be pointless.

i have E8600 3.3GHZ + 8GB ram + GT260.

you can see, if you focus on the sides of the road, that stuff is being drawn as you pass by it, this is ridiculous on these days.

i want to change to either disable that, or force them to be drawn ahead, or understand what option is creating this stupid ugly graphics.

thanks for helping.

You need to be more specific. Your video clip isn't all that clear, and I'm having trouble identifying where the "stupid ugly graphics" are.

I'm noticing two things in your clip:

1 - Your screen and your VGA signal are not operating at the same rates (the GFX card is basically updating the signal more times than the monitor can handle). This causes a "line" to appear on screen, that will move about, sometimes disappear, and the reappear. To remove this, you need to look for a function called "V-sync". Now, PCM2011 doesn't have this, so I would recommend forcing V-sync from your GFX drivers, or adjusting your monitor's refresh rate (typically 50-60hz)

2 - Textures "appear late", and it looks like the graphics are being drawn while appearing on screen. This is usually a compatibility/driver issue, and I would recommend updating your GFX drivers and setting it up correctly (for your monitor and preferences), before making any judgements about the game.

If the issues persist, we will need your DXDiag-data, your exact game settings, and your full system information.

It seems to me it's the shadows, so you may want to disable that.

First of all, thank you all for spending time helping me.

i've tried to lock the vsync to ON, but the result is the same, so this isn't the issue.

i've tried to disable shadows, and it kinda works, no shadows to draw, so the drawing shadows don't show, but i now see in the exact same way, highlights being drawn.

so it's always something being drawn on that line, i want to force that to NOT happen, why isn't all things drawn ahead?

i've upload a image that sums the problem:
https://imageuploa...=94BC7DD21

1: you can see a line there, it's there all the time, where the "extra" graphics are drawn, shadows, highlights, the thing that really annoys me
2: here you can see a object, half with shadow, half still clear, like the power lines and the fence

this gives a real bad aspect to the game Sad i get this every PCM release, can't be the GPU, cause i had several over the years, and the driver is the latest with standard settings.

Let me know what else i should try to debug the issue, or what can i give you to help you help me.

thanks.

It's a draw distance line, zoom in or turn down the graphics so the alteration between low-detail (far objects) and high-detail (near objects) is less. There's no other real way around it other than jacking the draw distance really high, but that is gauranteed to needlessly kill performance.

Hey, i´ve got exactly the same problem. do also have the GTX260. Did you find any solution?

cachirro
how to edit the draw distance?

disabling shadows is a way, does not fix it, but because there are no shadows, we don't see them being drawn.

now i see the highlights being drawn on the same place.

still waiting for some divine help to fix this, what's annyoing is to get this at every PCM release.

i have same problem aswel, ive got gtx460.

As Jams79 said, changing the draw distance would fix it but this would result in extrem loss of FPS. So better have a fluent game then a slide show. But if you really matter then google how to change to draw distance in a gamebryo.

i don't see any config file to change it in pcm.

is there a file that controls every option for the game?

i don't mind losing some fps, i got 99 for now, can you please tell me how to change it?

i've trying messing with the options with no luck, it's a general draw distance issue, if i look forward, i can the the corn GROW and the sunflowers for example, then if i change to a look back camera, i can it them disappear.

basically the game draws the stuff just a few meters forward and backward, so we have to witness this weird issue, that makes the game look real bad.

i sure hope there's a fix for this, this annoys me real bad, i haven't even started a season, because i got so disappointed after i bought pcm11 and saw that i had the same issues as in pcm10.

very hard to focus on the game or gameplay when you see constant graphics drawing or un-drawing on the screen.

i found some configuration files;
StageConfiguration
GraphicConfiguration
Options

is there anyway to control draw distance, or whatever it can help this issue?

i've also did a search for the word "distance" inside every pcm file, but i found a few hundreds, so it will be hard to know which file could affect this.

i've found some files using a var called loddistance, that might be it, where to control the global loddistance?

or, in 3d\landscapes there are alot of xml files with some variables that also might be it.
